Job Description
Design and develop user-friendly mobile applications that are both simple and engaging
• Develop application programming interfaces (APIs) to support mobile functionality
• Adapt existing web applications to fit for Mobile applications
• Ensure the application of best practices and professional software development methodologies, relevant tool suites and technologies, creativity and innovation in all mobile applications development.
• Contributing in all phases of the software development lifecycle from the analysis, design, development and delivery of the application
• Contributing to the elaboration and documentation of concept notes, ToR, requirements and other software specifications documents
• Creating wireframes and system prototypes to decide on layout and workflows
• Writing and implementing efficient codes(clean, well designed, testable and well documented)
• Perform required systems upgrades on developed mobile applications
• Ensuring code ownership and secured code repository of software projects
• Ensuring proper version control and releases management
• Performing quality assurance and testing(create test plans and perform tests)
• Ensuring performance optimization
• Ensuring data integrity and security
• Deploying developed mobile applications to production environment
• Ensure training of users
• Ensure maintenance and support of the mobile applications

Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French. Knowledge of all is an added advantage

Mastery of at least two popular Mobile Development frameworks and having relevant Certificates in software, Web or mobile application development is highly advantageous

Experience in developing mobile applications using popular mobile development tools and frameworks including but not limited to React Native, Xamarin, Ionic, QT, Mobile Angular UI…with developing application programming interfaces (APIs) to support mobile functionality
