  1. Credit Recovery Officer (x3)

Job Purpose

To identify, review and recover or restructure/restore to performance non-performing debts and make appropriate recommendations to avoid such situations arising in the future in order to mitigate credit risks.

Main Responsibilities

•To initiate and develop restructuring and recovery strategies towards reduction of non-performing loans (NPL) levels as targeted by bank’s management;

•Contribute to the bank’s profit through writebacks

•Ensure compliance with credit policies, regulatory requirements and best practices in carrying out recovery actions with a view to minimizing credit risks

•Work closely with all banks appointed external agencies(debt collectors, appointed receivers, court bailiffs, lawyers etc…) and other third party vendors

•Partner with the legal unit and lawyers for efficient and effective resolution of matters in court.

•Assist Credit Recovery Manager to prepare statutory and regulatory reports required by the bank

•Give recommendations to Recovery Manager on issues of debt recovery including disposal of securities, litigation, restructuring, final settlement, write-offs and write-downs for approval.

•Provide professional business support to the Credit Recovery Manager to resolve challenges faced by stressed clients

•To enhance the Bank’s overall image through improved relations with bad debtors and ensure customers are satisfied through timely responses to issues;

•Perform other tasks reasonably required by Credit recovery Manager or Senior Credit Recovery Manager within the framework of this job description.



Daily Responsibilities:

•Daily review of assigned NPLs portfolio for any follow up of promise to pay from the customer and plan course of action to recover owed money.

•Meeting and call customers, write call reports and sharing with Credit Recovery Manager and file same to customer files.

•Write demand notice and statutory notices to customers under NPL; initiate and follow up related files in CQ, EMRS, and IECMS

•Negotiating with customers to express their willingness to repay and propose different alternatives to get solutions

•reparation of Recovery reports for management and regulator

Educational qualifications and work experience:

•Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting /Economics/ Business/Management/Law

•Professional Qualifications: CPA/ILPD

•3 years of minimum experience in debt collection, recoveries and Credit.

3. SENIOR HR BUSINESS PARTNER (x1)

Job Purpose

The job holder is responsible for delivering best practice HR services and solutions that enhance employee performance, productivity and engagement. This is achieved through close collaboration with line managers, ensuring alignment to the Bank’s business objectives and creating value for all stakeholders

Main Responsibilities

• Supervises a team of HR business partners and advisors who act as the primary HR contact for staff and line management while proactively supporting the delivery of HR Processes.

• Delivering employee lifecycle from goal setting to performance management with a consistent focus on building a high-performing culture of growth, productivity and development.

• Advise and support line managers on people growth strategies and initiatives to ensure retention and development of high-performing and high-potential employees.

• Working with Heads of Function, develop and execute manpower plans, recruitment, and selection as per the Bank’s talent acquisition framework.

• Drive the Talent Management strategy and plans in liaison with the Learning & Development function by identifying and developing training interventions to bridge staff skills and business competency gaps.

• In liaison with the Employee Relations and Wellness function, develop and sustain an enabling work environment for staff, and implement staff recognition, disciplinary, and grievance handling policies and procedures.

• In liaison with line managers, drive the delivery and analysis of employee engagement surveys.

• In liaison with the Reward and Policy function, develop performance-oriented reward and incentive propositions for staff.

• Review and analyze business unit data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience.

• In liaison with line managers, facilitate internal Employee movements and transfers

4. HEAD OF HUMAN RESOURCES

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Managing Director, this role is responsible for the development, management and maintenance of human capital programs (includes HR strategy, manpower plans, staff costs management and optimisation), policies and procedures to attract, select, recruit, develop, retain and manage employees to deliver the Bank’s strategy and business plans.

Main Responsibilities

•Lead and Direct the Human Resource team and staff.

•Is a member of the BPR Bank Executive Committee;

•Liaises with the Managing Director and Heads of Department to prepare and implement the HR strategy;

•Develops organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives.

•Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, health and safety, succession planning, employee relations, industrial.

•Manages human resource operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, counselling, and staff discipline and grievance handling; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing staff performance; developing/maintaining staff benefit, reward and recognition programs; determining productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies and implementing change.

•Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions; analysing information and applications. Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values.

•Complies with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

•Develops and maintains risk and compliance controls for the HR Department.

•Maintains relationships with key stakeholders: Board HR Committees, executive and senior management, industry/regulatory bodies, trade union leadership, key consultants and service providers.



Educational qualifications and work experience:

•Bachelor’s level degree in Business related field with statutory HR professional qualifications.

•Master’s Degree in Human Resource/Equivalence is an added advantage.

•8 or more years of progressive experience (preferably from large organizations) in Human Resource Management with at least 5 years at senior management level.

•Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, and training and development.

•Have appreciation and operating knowledge of the banking industry, market, trends as well as challenges

•Sound understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements of corporate governance, risk management, business and banking operations.

•Demonstrable cross-cultural, people and relationship management skills, networking and negotiation skills, team motivation and leadership competence.
