The Australia Scholarships are of the following types:

Vice-Chancellor’s International High Achievers Scholarships (VCIHAS):

The scholarship applies to the undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree for the entire duration of the course, which is 50% or 25% of the tuition fee.

CDU Global Excellence Award:

This scholarship applies to the undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree, which is 50% of the tuition fee for the first year of study and 10% for subsequent years.

CDU Global Achiever Award:

This scholarship program applies to an undergraduate or to postgraduate coursework degree and also covers 15% of the tuition fee for the first year of study.

CDU Global Leader Award:

Vocational Education and Training (VET) Distinction Scholarship:

This scholarship program applies to a Vocational Education and also on Training (VET) qualification and is a one-off payment of $3,000 towards your first-year tuition fee.

These are fully funded scholarships.

Northern Territory Scholarships:

This scholarship Program recognises students’ academic merit, leadership and community engagement. They are for Higher Education – Postgraduate and undergraduate ($12,000) and contribute to the student’s tuition fees.

Eligibility Criteria for Charles Darwin University Scholarships

  • Candidates must maintain satisfactory academic progress each semester in the degree at CDU, with the minimum GPA of 5.3 and with no fail grade in any subject;
  • The candidates must be paying international fees and not domestic fees.
  • Candidates do not take leave of absence from units or study curriculum without prior approval of offices or international services.
  • The Awardees are also required to inform the International Office via email international@cdu.edu.au of any visa status changes immediately as this may result in a termination of the scholarship

The University Twente Scholarship (UTS) is a scholarship for excellent students from both EU/EEA as well as non-EU/EEA countries, applying for a graduate programme (MSc) at the University of Twente. The students receive between € 3,000 and € 22,000 for one year.

The University Twente Scholarship (UTS) is a scholarship for excellent students from both EU/EEA as well as non-EU/EEA countries, applying for a Master’s programme at the University of Twente.

SCHOLARSHIP VALUE

Scope and responsibilities of the role

The Finance Officer (FO), reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager will assist in the delivering on finance and administration functions for the Rwanda office and programmes. 1.    Function

The Veterinary Field Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision and advisory of all matters related to quality and affordable veterinary services delivered by private veterinarians. S/he will be responsible for capacity reinforcement of selected private veterinarians by project. S/he will be responsible for monitoring of activities realized by private veterinarians in the defined area. S/he applies the work plans in the cluster assigned to achieve the results of project on time. S/he will provide technical guidance to private veterinarians for efficiency and quality vet services. S/he will be responsible for ensuring good collaboration with animal health stakeholders and local authorities in its area. S/he will also be responsible for consolidating field data and evidence to support any impact achieved.




2.     Responsibilities  and deliverables

  • Coordinate the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting the project activities in the districts under its supervision and report to the Project Manager on the regular (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually) basis ;
  • Apply the strategic approach to strengthening private veterinary services it in the districts under its supervision for the development of poultry and pig production;
  • Accompany selected private vet candidates to fulfill requirements to access loans from micro-finance institutions as part of strategic approach and accompany them for acquisition of planned inputs;
  • Develop and ensure good relationship with microfinance institutions to provide loans to selected private candidates Monitor the implementation of the partnership agreement established between the selected IMFs and the project as part of support for animal health promotion and monitoring compliance with the commitments made by the parties in this type of partnership and this in the districts of its supervision;
  • Accompany and provide advices to reinforced private vets for regular reimbursement of contracted loans;
  • Ensure that the training material and logistics are efficiently realized based on the training plans and contribute to the improvement of the quality of zoo-vet services provided by reinforced private vets;
  • In collaboration with the District Animal Resources Officer from supervised districts, organize (by district) the regular workshops intending to reinforce synergy and complementarity between all animal health actors and develop quality and affordable zoo-vet services;
  • Represent the project and project partners in the districts of its supervision especially ensure good partnership with Joint Action Development Forum (JADF);
  • Ensure the proper use of resources (financial and material) allocated to the execution of the project activities in the districts of its supervision and inform the manager if there are areas for improvement;

Responsibilities:

Jhpiego Rwanda is hiring a Procurement Officer for its USAID and DoD Programs in Rwanda. The Procurement officer will report to Operations Manager and will be based in Kigali.

Responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Ensure all steps involved in procurement process – distribution of quotation requests, collection of pro forma invoices, analysis of bids, preparation and delivery of Purchase Orders, obtaining Goods receiving Notes, and final submission of the complete procurement file including GSRs, LPOs, delivery note and invoices.
  • Check quality and availability of requested items and collect proforma invoice accordingly
  • Prepare and compile bid documents for review by the procurement committee, and assist in setting selection criteria.
  • Prepare bid analysis and together with Procurement Committee recommend the best offer as per selection criterion set in discussion.
  • Register all purchase requests and ensure they are adequately specific and complete according to Jhpiego Rwanda’s procurement policy.

Responsibilities include Planning and integration of maternal newborn and child support

  • Work closely with Barame project technical team and district mentors to plan, implement the evidence-based, improved, and innovative health services at health center level including: Basic Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (B-EMONC) including, Antenatal Care (ANC), Post Natal Care (PNC) for mothers and newborn, Essential Newborn Care (ENC) including Essential Care for Every Baby (ECEB), and Helping Baby Breathe (HBB), Care for small and sick babies Kangaroo mother care including integrated Management of Childhood illness(IMCI)..
  • Monitor progress of implementation of work plan activities related to maternal and newborn activities and ensure that activities are executed according to plan and any issues are discussed with supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other Barame Project team members and MOH/RBC to ensure good coordination and efficient programming and management.




Implementation and Operations

  • Lead training of district-based mentors/trainers and health care providers using the Low Dose/High Frequency (LDHF) approach;
  • Provide technical support to district-based mentors in conducting mentorship in health centers
  • Provide supportive supervision of district-based mentors;
  • Ensure that updated protocols are available and used in maternity, neonatology, and child services
  • Contribute in the development of technical documents related to MNCH

SUMMARY

YLabs is seeking a Design Lead to provide leadership and support YLabs Rwanda’s design team growth and projects in Rwanda and East Africa. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design Leadership: Build design capacity for Rwanda and regional based projects. This includes training and capacity building all staff, providing strategic guidance on design function growth within the region, and managing regionally based design staff.
  • Visual Design: Lead YLabs’ visual and communication design practice and maintain a high quality of deliverables across internal and external projects. This includes training and mentorship for the design team within the region and critique of design materials.
  • Project Leadership: Lead regional human-centered design and communication design projects.   • Communication: Translate and communicate complex ideas across departments and stakeholders as well as the ability to simplify those complex ideas into succinct data points.
  • Capacity building: Utilise and involve junior designers in the design process, building their design capacity and fluency with CyberRwanda product and service.
  • Feedback: Collecting strategic feedback and metrics from your designs and creating improvements on the platform based on data.
  • Strategic Alignment: Approach and map out ideas or problems with holistic systems thinking providing perspective on various components and how they affect each other. Work closely with the Product manager to align project goals and reporting.

 

YOU HAVE

  • Experience and confidence in all stages of a design project including user research and testing, prototyping, service design blueprints, and developing user-centered deliverables. A firm understanding of UI design is highly desirable.
  • Experience with data synthesis (ie. Google Analytics) and using data to inform and bolster your designs.
  • Strong verbal and visual communications skills with both developers, content developers and designers.
  • Experience in hiring, collaborating with and managing freelance designers and/or other vendors.
  • Proven experience crafting innovative design solutions within complex service systems is a plus.
  • 2-3 years of experience in human-centered design methodologies and practice.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in design strategy, UX, service design, or design research is required.

 

DESIRABLE

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Interaction Design, Service Design, User Experience Design, or related design discipline preferred.
  • Experience working in Rwanda and/or East Africa broadly; proficient Kinyarwanda is a plus.
  • Eligibility to work in Rwanda is a plus.

 

LOCATION

Under normal circumstances, this role would be based out of the YLabs Rwanda Kigali office. Given the current circumstances due to COVID-19, it is possible to conduct this role remotely within GMT+0 to GMT+4. There is an expectation that this role will be based in Kigali once normal office life resumes.

BENEFITS

Salary range: RWF16,150,000 to RWF38,000,000 gross, commensurate with experience.
