Database Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security of databases in VFR.   • Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system;
  • Writing database documentation, including data standards and procedures;
  • Monthly reviewing of User access rights to the System and revoke where where necessary by consulting HOIT and document by filing
  • commissioning and installing new applications and customizing existing applications in order to make them fit for purpose;
  • Work Closely with the Core Banking Vendor and consultants for new application integrity;
  • Perform end financial activities ( daily EOD and EOY) regularly;
  • Generating various reports by querying from database as per need;
  • Developing and automating reports as per the business requests.
  • Full daily Mobile Banking support to the clients by troubleshooting and analysing the error given and working with MNOs where necessary
  • Dual control on how users are registered in the system by checking charge account , account mapped and the validity of the phone numbers and share weekly report
  • Perform once in a month Backup Tape restore and document by filing
  • Ensure Daily EOD Reports are sent to the business before start of the day

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledge about the RDBMS systems especially Oracle Database;
  • Knowledge of system reports design and development using crystal reports;
  • Knowledge of structured query language (SQL) and Java programming;
  • Knowledge of Web logic Server Administration

Your tasks / responsibilities

  • Managing project activities, administration, human resources and logistics in Rwanda in close cooperation with the Team Leader and the IB backstopping team
  • Coordination of the implementation of training- and stakeholder activities,
  • Collaboration with (national & international) partners, stakeholders and experts
  • Communication with national partners, stakeholders and national experts
  • Representing the proWOOD Project activities as deputy official representative in Rwanda
  • Identification and technical support of short-term experts and preparation of terms of reference

Our requirements / Your qualifications

  • BA or MA for Engineering or Education
  • at least 5 years professional experience in a technical or educational profession related to wood & construction
  • knowledge and working experience in the wood economy is an advantage
  • understanding of the stakeholder landscape and various value chains of the wood economy
  • in-depth knowledge of project management
  • Good organisational skills
  • Professional training as a carpenter / wood technician is advantageous
  • High proficiency in the English language, written and spoken
  • professional use of MS office
  • willingness to travel and readiness for consulting and coordination activities in rural areas
  • willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management

Our requirements / Your qualifications

  • L5 Carpentry and Wood-technology or Bachelor for Engineering or Wood- Technology
  • qualification as international accredited master instructor in carpentry
  • at least 4 years professional experience as technical trainer in wood technology & construction
  • knowledge and working experience in a company setting is an advantage
  • in-depth knowledge of project management
  • Good organisational skills
  • High proficiency in the English language, written and spoken
  • professional use of MS office
  • professional use of CAD drawing
  • applicational knowledge in CNC operating technology is an advantage
  • professional skills in e-Learning design and conduction as well as virtual training concepts is an advantage
  • willingness to travel and readiness for consulting and coordination activities in rural areas
  • willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management
