Job Description

Plan the activities of the Health Center taking into account the priority needs felt by the community, the available resources and the national health policy.
• Coordinate and supervise the implementation of activities programmed and adopted by the Health Committee.
• Ensure a good reception of the patient as part of his or her activity and supervise the quality of the reception by the other members of the team.
• Supervise the in charges of curative, family planning and hospitalized follow – up in the realization in the realization of their activities
• Participate in the management of normal deliveries in collaboration with the person responsible for this activity.
• Plan, supervise, and participate in IEC activities in consultation with other members of the health centers health team.
• Supervise rational consumption and good management of Essential medicines and medical consumables, available at the health facility level.
• Supervise all the curative and preventive activities practiced in the Health Center.
• Supervise compliance with hygiene rules and asepsis applied at the Health Center level.
• Ensure the proper maintenance of the premises and equipment of the Health Center
• Provide in service training for staff.
• Regularly evaluate the quantitative and qualitative results of the activities carried out in the Health Center.
• Organize regular meetings with health personnel to assess the level of progress of the programs and to discuss organizational or technical issues affecting the activities of the Health Center.
• Ensure the implementation of Ministerial directives, District recommendations or National Programs.
• Participate regularly in Health Committee meetings
• Prepare with the Health Center Accountant and the Treasurer of the Health Committee the Treasury Report and the financial statements to be presented to the Health Committee.
• Participate in the development of quarterly budget forecasts, in collaboration with other members of the Health Committee.
• Mobilize the community for effective participation in the management of its Health Center, under program and financial management.
• Conduct community visits to find out what the actual needs health and awareness of how to take charge of one’s own health.
• Organize regular meetings with health facilitators to help them plan their activities and solve the problems encountered.
• Evaluate the training needs of health workers and organize required training.
• Participate actively in meetings and seminars organized by the Ministries of Health and other local and national institutions.

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Lecturer

The Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture (RICA) is a unique and innovative English language institution dedicated to preparing the next generation of agricultural leaders of Rwanda and East Africa. DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an Integrated Pest Management professional to join a world-class team of educators and researchers at RICA. Ideal candidates will have a passion for education with a focus on conservation agriculture and systems thinking, and will actively engage with students in the learning environment by demonstrating technical skills and mentoring students. Such a candidate will commit to the RICA teaching philosophy, which celebrates experiential learning that is founded in research and extends to the community. This position is a comprehensive teaching position whereby the successful candidate is a stakeholder in all aspects of the program, including but not limited to, the responsibilities listed below.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in team teaching the experiential first-year Practical Farming series.
  • Team-teach elective classes in Integrated Pest Management to second and third-year students and participate in cropping systems teaching.
  • As part of a team mentor students on capstone experiences.
  • Assist Enterprise leads in designing and managing crop and animal operations.
  • Champion Conservation Agriculture and One Health principles in teaching and mentoring.
  • Join the extension team in providing solutions to pest management questions for RICA and the community.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluent speaker of English.
  • MS in Weed Science, Entomology, Plant Pathology or other relevant degree in agriculture or natural resources.
  • Teaching experience.
  • Enthusiasm for conservation agriculture, experiential learning, and team teaching.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD in Weed Science, Entomology or Plant Pathology.
  • Experience teaching higher education agriculture students.

Job summary

Position Summary:

Review analysis of all loan proposals done by the Credit Analysts to make sure that errors and gaps in analysis are corrected before the files are circulated and reviewed by the Credit Committee.

Sign-off files ready for review and approval by the Credit Committee. Review and sign-off risk grades for the bank’s loan portfolio according to guidelines set by management. Recommend regular upgrade on risk grades, as prescribed by the policy.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting 

  • Check accuracy of the analysis done by the Credit Analysts under his/her supervision. Specifically, checking has to focus on compliance with the policies of the bank, the analysis of the customer’s capacity, and identification of risk factors in each account. Ensure that files completely analyzed are given back to the CRO handling the account within 24 hours
  • Ensure a quick turnaround time of the files received for analysis ensuring a balance of speed and the quality of output
  • Evaluate the number of files pending for analysis on a daily basis
  • Evaluate the performance of all staffs under his/her supervision. Take note of the most common errors committed by each of the staff. This will help in identifying the areas for improvement and also in determining the type of training and/or mentoring that each staff needs.
  • Review the output of the periodic risk profile grading of the bank’s loan portfolio prepared by the credit analysts. Make sure that risk grading complies with the guidelines in the bank’s credit policy manual and with the BNR regulations, as the case maybe

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Receive package and labeled orders from the picking section;
  • Ensure that the documents from the Distribution section are in conformity with the orders to be delivered.
  • Prepare Client’s Invoice and delivery notes.
  • Ensure the safety of the goods in the Dispatch area their safety during loading.
  • Ensure that the goods are delivered according to the established planning schedule, to the required distribution standard and to the distribution manual.
  • Inform supervisor about orders and volume of the health commodities to be dispatched
  • Confirmation of all orders dispatched and ship through management systems.
  • Transmission of all required documents to finance department and file copies.
  • Provide report to his/her immediate supervisor.

Qualification and Skills Required 

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Nursing A1or Laboratory sciences or any other related field with Maximum of 28 years old.

 Knowledge and technical skills required:

  • Decision making skills;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Very effective organization skills;
  • Team working skills;
  • Computer skills;

Procurement Manager: (1)


Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Development of organizational procurement and data strategy
  • Building data Center to help transform procurement, data management, IT systems and quality assurance; and support broader transformation of the value chain for the enterprise
  • Ensure that tendering, procurement, and all contract management processes are fair, transparent, and compliant with RMS procurement rules and regulations
  • Coordinate with other procurement agencies the timely implementation of the procurement plan
  • Coordinate and work with the Rwanda FDA and suppliers on the removal of any rejected goods
  • Manage international supply chain and freight forwarding strategies in collaboration with stakeholders to make cost-effective use of buffer stocks, manufacturers’ fresh supply, and in-country stocks
  • Facilitate expediting of communications with respective parties to ensure that import/export documents are provided in a timely manner to respond to local clearance procedures
  • Ensure the development and implementation of capacity building plan for RMS procurement and logistics team
  • Maintain auditable records for all managed procured items, including approved procurement plan, supply plans and supporting documentation.
  • Support the achievement of the overall RMS goals as required to ensure procurement and quantification performance
  • Supervise procurement officers
  • Build leadership within the team to support across other business functions and initiatives
  • Report to the head of procurement and quantification department

Qualification and Skills

Certificate offered by CIPs or any other professional certification in Procurement, Degree in Pharmacy and/or master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management with relevant field qualifications related to specific domain with at least 5 years of working experience on a managerial position with maximum of 35 years old.

Quantification and Data Visibility Manager: (1)


Tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead the quantification and data management function within RMS and reports to the Head of Procurement and Quantification Department
  • Participate in Data Governance Committee to develop recommendations on critical data issues, e.g., data systems ownership, digitization plans, staffing at RMS Branches level, data SOPs, data KPIs etc
  • Provide oversight on data management unit functions, i.e., data aggregation and analysis, systems change and integration and governance
  • Follow up with Regional Warehouse Manager on data quality at the DP level
  • Establish and maintain policies and standards for end-to-end data governance
  • Monitor performance against the KPIs
  • Support Data Governance Committee in preparation of working documents
