Job Description

1. Monitor Day to day blood products inventory nationwide and propose corrective actions to Head of Division whenever there is imbalance between request and supply.
2. Coordinate and give technical support to the laboratories network
3. Ensure the Biosafety in the laboratories network
4. Follow up the implementation of appropriate corrective actions in the laboratories network
5. Ensure the proficiency testing is carried out in the laboratories network
6. Ensure appropriate training is provided to lab staff and their competency assessed.
7. Ensure the compliance with Quality management system and other appropriate regulations in the laboratories network.
8. Conduct research aimed at continual improvement.
9. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of division
10.Report to the Head of Division of National Centre for Blood Transfusion.
In collaboration with Quality Control and Accreditation Specialist:
– Ensure external quality control program is in place to prove reliability and accuracy of NCBT testing methods
– Ensures documents related to laboratory operations are developed and disseminated for use

In collaboration with Platelet, Immuno-hematology.
– Ensure the availability of laboratory consumables.
– Ensure established policies and procedures are followed within laboratories network
– Ensure critical supplies are inspected prior to utilization

In collaboration with RMS:
Ensures Procurement plan is established
Ensures suppliers are qualified following set specifications
Provide BTD inputs during drafting of suppliers’ contracts

. Design, develop, implement, maintain the quality system in NCBT;
2. Work closely with medical directors to ensure only safe blood is issued and stop distribution if safety is compromised;

Job Description

Elaborate the annual plan of blood collection activities
– Plan weekly and monthly activities related to blood donor mobilization;
– Organize contact networks necessary for blood donor mobilization activities;
– Develop partnership with schools, churches, public and private organization and local government authorities to promote regular blood donation;
– Prepare relevant tools for blood donor mobilization campaign;
– Organize conferences and other meetings for donor mobilizations;
– Organize regular meetings and conferences in schools(secondary and universities), keep a tag with them out of schools and during holidays;
– Elaborate weekly and monthly schedule for blood collections, taking in account needs in blood for transfusion;
– Perform the pre-donation counseling and blood donor education;
– Perform blood donor recruitment in the area served by the RCBT;
– Participate in the elaboration of documents needed for donor recruitment and donor selection,
– Ensure compliance with quality requirements in his/her service;
– Perform any other duties as assigned by hierarchical supervisors;
– Report to the Director of RCBT;
In collaboration with the Director of Unit, and the top NCBT management:
– Ensures a steady supply of Blood and Blood products to all Transfusing Health
facilities in the catchment area.

In collaboration with all external stakeholders:
– Ensures an adequate pool of Blood donors to satisfy Hospital needs.
In collaboration with the laboratory team:
– Ensures a constant supply of Blood and Blood products.
In collaboration with the NCBT Logistics Manager:
– Ensures a steady supply of all logistical materials related to Blood Collection activities.

N.B: Having a training certificate in Blood Transfusion is an added advantage.

Job Description

• Maintain inventory of Lab and workshop supplies and make requests.
• Maintenance of Lab and Workshop equipment.
• Assist students to perform the necessary tasks while working in the Lab and Workshop.
• Preparing Technical specifications of tools, equipment and teaching consumables for the modules related to Electronics and Telecommunication.
• Finding relevant market surveys for the required tools, equipment and consumables.
• Control hygiene and hazards in the Lab and Workshop.
• Servicing and maintenance of Lab and Workshop furniture, machinery, tools, and components and keeping appropriate records.
• Carry out community outreach.




Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma (A2) in Electricity

    0 Year of relevant experience

  • Advanced Diploma in Alternative/Renewable Energy

    0 Year of relevant experience

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering

    0 Year of relevant experience

  • Advanced Diploma (A1) in Renewable Energy

    0 Year of relevant experience
