  • For Bachelor’s Monthly Stipend: 450 TL per month

This scholarship aims to recognize a newly admitted international student whose work and commitment provide an exceptionally good reflection of the University of Ottawa’s objectives.

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must:

1. obtain a study permit;

2. be admitted to an undergraduate program;

3. be registered full-time in a direct-entry faculty or integrated program offered with a direct-entry faculty;

4. have a minimum admission average of 92%; and

5. demonstrate leadership qualities and commitment to academic and extracurricular activities.

Renewal Criteria:

This scholarship may be renewed for three years following your first year of study provided that you:

1. maintain full-time registration in a direct-entry faculty; and

2. have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 8.5 or higher at the end of each academic year.

Note: This scholarship can be renewed at 50% of its annual value if the recipient has a CGPA between 8.0 and 8.4 at the end of their academic year. Furthermore, the scholarship can be renewed for the full amount in a subsequent year if their CGPA goes back to 8.5 or higher.

Temporary interruption of your studies or registration part-time or as a special student will lead to your scholarship being revoked for the rest of your studies.

Value of the award: $26,000 ($6,500 per year)

The Eastern Africa Farmers Federation EAFF) was formed in 2001 as a non-political, non profit, and democratic organization, whose role is to voice the concerns and interest of farmers of the region to enhance their social-economic status and regional cohesiveness. e-GRANARY aggregates farmers for market leveraging technology running on mobile phones to help smallholder farmers improve production and maximize their profits. e-GRANARY aims to reach over 100,000 farmers in Eastern Africa and transform their livelihoods. We are looking for distribution and logistics officer to help us get inputs to farmers on time and collect quality produce from farmers effectively. Purpose of the Job

This person will be in charge of the supply chain management and e-GRANARY’s logistics and distribution strategy in the field. This includes everything from designing, field testing, and the execution of the whole process from recruitment, training, and managing distributor network relationships, warehousing and inventory management, and building and implementing systems with a keen eye towards tracking business risk. This includes tracking, supervising, and improving the systems to respond to inventory loss, quality issues, customer complaints and fraud prevention, and quality monitoring processes.

Reporting roles :

  • Develop and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and end-of-year reports to the Country Manager.
  • Reporting on inventory movements  (both for inputs and commodities) for all warehouses and being accountable for any and all losses.
  • Reporting on Customer Complaints relating to any Agro dealer, Farmer group aggregation center inventory/stored goods and following up to their resolution.

Note: The role of the Distribution Logistic officer cannot be limited to the specific duties and tasks detailed herein. The University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) is a new kind of university focused on training the next generation of global leaders in health care delivery. The university launched in Rwanda in September 2015 with its flagship degree: Master of Science in Global Health Delivery (MGHD). ROLE OVERVIEW
Research and Content Development Associate is in charge of supporting research projects leading to publications and content development for the department events and other engagement activities.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Hamwe team and its partners in creating vibrant digital content (audio, video, and written pieces)
  • Contribute to all the content preparation steps, including the research and quality control, facts checking, and editing
  • Research, manage and commission video maker, design agencies, and other partner agencies to create digital content in collaboration with Hamwe team
  • Support the preparation of online public meetings and performances
  • Document panels, meetings, interviews, and other events
  • Support key steps of online content generation, like research, facts checking, quality control, editing in close collaboration with other members of the team
  • Interact with UGHE collaborators and provide them with the information and support they need to collaborate with Hamwe teams effectively
  • Contribute to UGHE reporting process and other relevant activities leading to the achievement of the department and institution success




QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health related field (with proven excellent writing skills).
  • Demonstrated fitness in independent research projects
  • Experience contributing effectively to multidisciplinary team project coordination.
  • High level of familiarity with the field of global health equity
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English with previous publications (book contribution, article, Op Eds, or others)
  • Ability to lead data collection and analysis processes (quantitative and qualitative) from process design to implementation, analysis, and follow-through.
