Trigyn has a contractual opportunity as Wide Area Network (WAN) Technician. This resource will be working at our client site in Mali.

Job Responsibilities:

•This resource would be required to test, install and maintain the client’s data network in the area of operation.
•Design and implementation of a complete wide/metropolitan area network in various regions/offices, and administration of network once installed. The network would include but not limited to the following equipment:
-Cisco routers and WAN switches (IGX) are in the core of the existing WAN;
-Satellite modems, multiplexers, microwave modems, line drivers are used for physical connectivity be ween locations;
-Protocols in use are HDLC, Frame Relay, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, TCP/IP, VoIP;
-Thorough understanding of Cisco IOS, Stratacom OS, WAN and routing concepts and above protocols is absolutely essential;
-Design of IP addressing scheme, subnetting, route summarisation are tasks to be performed;
-Preferably certified in both CCNA and CCDA.




Requirements:
•The technician should have a working knowledge of Intra and Internetworking concepts in so far as it applies to and Data Communications.
•Experience with CISCO networking equipment and applicable CISCO and other IT industry certifications.
•Must have a national drivers licence for a light motor vehicle
•Fluency in English, both written and oral, is required.

The successful candidate will be working in the BRM (Business Relationship Management) unit and answering to the Information Systems Officer who oversees BRM, Client Support and Digital Solution Center units under Service Management Pillar of Field Technology Section.

Functions / Key Results Expected
As a Full Stack Software Developer, you will work closely with colleagues, participating in all stages of the development life cycle from concept, and planning to delivery. You will develop and maintain websites and produce high-quality data visualizations. You will also develop and maintain databases.
In addition, the candidate needs to be familiar with client’s operation and best practices.




Duties and responsibilities

Within the terms of the organization’s delegated authority, and under the direct supervision of the FTS Head of Business Relationship Management Unit, the software developer will work in collaboration with all technical teams and undertake the following tasks:
• Participate in all stages of the development life cycle, from concept planning to build, testing and delivery
• Develop front end architecture to latest specifications and highest standards, including writing and documenting code if necessary
• Implement and maintain front end of interactive data-driven sites
• Develop and maintain user interfaces for data management and data entry systems
• Maintain existing websites including fixing technical issues and bugs management duties
• Ensure line reports deliver to a high standard across their objectives, and performance manage or up-skill if and when appropriate
• Contribute at team meetings and provide updates as required

Qualifications, Experience and Language skills

• ASP.NET C#, MVC, JAVA (not necessary but a plus)
• Strong in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap (not necessary but a plus)
• Power BI (a plus)
• SharePoint
• Familiarity and experience in database development and management with SQL Server
• Familiarity in iOS and Android mobile app development (not necessary but a plus)

POSITION SUMMARY

Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision. Location: Kigali, Rwanda

Time type: Full time

Background:

The USAID/Rwanda Collaborating, Learning and Adapting (CLA) Activity, which is administered by USAID and implemented by ME&A, Inc. (ME&A), is designed to improve USAID/Rwanda’s performance monitoring, evaluation, collaboration, learning, and adapting processes to ensure the Mission effectively utilizes data in all decision-making processes. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of a Driver/Logistics for the CLA Activity USAID-funded project office in Rwanda.




 Position Description:

Under the direct supervision of the Finance and Administration (F&A) Officer, the Driver/Logistics performs a variety of administrative and logistical support functions. The position requires solid knowledge of logistical policies and procedures related to operation and maintenance of project vehicles.

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:

The Driver/Logistics is responsible for undertaking the following tasks and responsibilities

  • Transport, Administration, and Logistic Support for the USAID CLA Activity.
  • Provide transportation for the Program, staff pickup and drop off, airport collection, and transport of visitors as directed by the supervisor.
  • Coordinate with the F&A Officer to follow up and execute driver planning and scheduling using Outlook Calendar or other means of scheduling as assigned.
  • Keep a logbook of all vehicles use and travel and register transportation requests for the assigned locations.
  • Assist the F&A team to deliver purchase orders, payment transfers to the bank and/or suppliers, conduct petty cash purchases for minor office expenditure.
  • Register, deliver, and distribute mail as needed, both incoming and outgoing.
  • Assist the F&A team to obtain quotations and raise procurement requisitions for small value purchases (as required).
  • Assist the F&A team in the facilitation of vehicle certification documents.
  • Deliver correspondence to different offices when needed.
  • Liaise with the F&A Officer on all airport transfers.
  • Assist the F&A Officer with Asset Management, transfers, labelling, and stock takes.
  • Proactively assist teams and work flexibly across the program.
  • Follow up on IT renewal and registrations.
  • Obtain quotes for minor vehicle maintenance.
  • Determine when and what kind of maintenance the vehicle needs, keep track of general maintenance schedules, especially car tire condition, and report to Supervisor for action.
  • Check oil, water, and tires properly and keep vehicles in clean condition, both inside and outside.
  • Update monthly mileage records and provide data to Supervisor for monthly operations reporting; and
  • Perform other duties as required



Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral Kinyarwanda and English language skills.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and to meet management deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize, with the aim of providing administrative support in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team in an office environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel required.

 Required Qualifications

  • Be of Rwandan nationality.
  • Have a Grade 12 Certificate (secondary certificate)
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Have a diploma in automotive mechanics or other mechanical experience is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of previous experience in a similar driver and administrative role for USAID or another international donor project.
  • Knowledge of the field of intervention would be an asset.
