 Job Position: Procurement Manager (Medical Technology and non – medical equipment) 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the procurement team
  • Co-define targets and agenda of the team
  • Implement the national supply plan by placing orders and monitor shipments efficiently to avoid supply chain disruption
  • Coordinate the team to apply for visa and import licenses of imported goods and liaise with clearing agents to clear goods from customs and deliver them to warehouse
  • Provide regular updates to clients/ external stakeholders on the status of their requests
  • Coordinate with biomedical engineers for inspection of delivered medical equipment
  • Oversee the development of the product catalogue and specifications and its periodic update
  • Oversee the establishment and regular update of the supplier catalogue/profile and conduct supplier prequalification activities
  • Coordinate with civil engineers to supervise and conduct studies/establish bill of quantities for civil works and maintenance services required by RMS
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend categories
  • Ensure cross functional alignment of process and targets

About the Role:

Rwanda Medical Supply (RMS) is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Legal Affairs Officer to join our Legal team. In this role, the Legal Affairs Officer will play a key role in assisting the organization in complying with laws and regulations whileconducting business and minimizing litigation risks in general.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Providing legal advice and assistance to management and internal departments/Directorates.
  • Assist management in understanding legal risks and mitigating those risks

VACANCY – DATA OFFICER 

COUNTRY PROGRAM MISSION: 

The overall goal of ALIGHT’s program in Rwanda is to improve the well-being and self-reliance of the displaced refugee population from eastern DRC and Burundi by ensuring the provision of basic services (adequate health care & nutrition, ASRH, GBV, Livelihood, HIV/AIDS prevention & treatment), improving food security and enabling economic recovery in six refugee camps located in Rwanda.


PRIMARY PURPOSE: 

The Data Officer oversees the collection of data and ensures that all data is complete, accurate and updated in a timely manner and recorded in the electronic systems. He /She reports directly to the medical coordinator.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Work with clinical health staff to ensure that the data collected is complete, accurate and up to date at all times;
  • Ensures the timely, accurate and complete data entry of records in the computerized systems, as required
  • Assemble the data necessary to complete all required reports in a timely manner;
  • Ensure that all source documents including patient files, registers, reports etc are available during DQA activities;
  • Actively participate in internal and external data quality assessment;
  • Actively participate in IDSR activities at Health center and community level
  • Ensure the availability of register for rumors & regular update and engage the CHWS in the collecting and reporting of the alerts.
  • Ensure that applications capturing and updating institutional data incorporate edit and validation checks to assure the accuracy, consistency and integrity of Data;
  • Check and correct data inconsistencies, document corrections made to data at any stage of data management;
  • Maintain and update the health-related records in the records center and at the clinical service delivery areas to ensure adherence to this SOP;
  • Ensure that active, inactive, perpetual and /or electronic records are accessible to only authorized personnel as per the SOP manual;
  • Actively participate in weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as per internal and MOH guidelines;
  • Conduct regular data collection checks to ensure data collection standards are followed (Completeness of source of data, Updated tools, availability of source of data: Registers, client files, patient Files, referral forms etc.)
  • Perform any other duties assigned by both Alight direct and indirect supervisors.


QUALIFICATIONS: 

EDUCATION, TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: 

  • At least A1 Certificate or diploma in public health, statistics or related health field from a recognized university with a back ground in Nursing.
  • 3 years working experience in data management in a low-resource
  • Demonstrated familiarity with health data management SOPs and Rwanda health management information system;
  • Experience in Rural Health Center/Hospital setting;
  • Excellent organization and administrative skills;
  • Process management and problem-solving skills;

Description:

As a Technical and Electrical Engineer, your primary responsibilities revolve around ensuring the maintenance and repair of refrigerated storage and transport units to preserve fish quality. This role involves troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring refrigeration systems operate efficiently in the company’s daily operations.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems within refrigerated storage units, reefers and cold rooms, including diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues,
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair refrigerated storage units and transport refrigeration systems used in fish processing and distribution.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Inspect, test, and replace defective components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and electrical wiring.
  • Conduct performance tests to identify issues and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Work with diesel-powered reefer units as needed, performing basic engine diagnostics and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and company policies while working on refrigeration equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service in our fish farming operations.
  • Be able to install, maintain, and repair electrical power, communication, lighting and control systems in homes, businesses and factories


Skills:

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Reefer Technician, Refrigeration Mechanic, or similar role.
  • Certification in HVAC, refrigeration, or a related field is preferred.

About the role:

As the Assistant Finance Manager at Kivu Choice Ltd, you will be responsible for supporting financial planning, reporting, and operational finance functions within the organization. Working closely with the FP&A Manager, the role contributes to budgeting, forecasting, and the preparation of accurate financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards. The position ensures the integrity of financial data through active involvement in month-end close processes, general ledger reviews, and balance sheet accounts for reconciliations and valuations.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist the FP&A Manager in the preparation of the annual budget and rolling forecasts.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRSs, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement.
  • Assist in the coordination of the month end close process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of transactions and balances.
  • Perform general ledger review on a regular basis to identify deviations from assertions such as accuracy, occurrence, completeness and cut-off for Profit & Loss transactions.
  • Perform end of the month valuation of balance sheet accounts in line with IAS 21
  • Oversee the receipt, verification, and coding of vendor invoices. Ensure that payments match purchase orders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor disputes, payment inquiries, and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure all payments follow internal controls and regulatory requirements
  • Work with customers and the sales team to resolve billing errors or pricing disputes that delay payment.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly AP/AR aging reports, cash flow projections, and KPI dashboards.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor AP/AR staff. Set performance goals and conduct reviews.
  • Any other responsibility that you may be assigned by the supervisors


Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Professional Accounting Qualification (CPA, ACCA, CFA or CIMA) completed, or in final stages
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reporting, financial planning and analysis or external audit.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
  • Experience with ERP and financial systems (e.g., ERPNext, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)

Description:

As a Quality, Health and Safety Manager, your primary responsibilities revolve around ensuring the safety and well-being of employees by conducting risk assessments, implementing safety training, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. Your role includes investigating incidents, developing emergency response plans, and performing safety audits to foster a culture of safety while supporting sustainable practices.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Risk Assessment:
    Identify potential health, safety, environmental, and compliance risks across all operations (farms, hatcheries, fleet, and processing units), and develop practical mitigation strategies to minimize exposure and ensure safe working conditions.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure full compliance with all applicable environmental, occupational health and safety, and aquaculture-specific regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements and oversee adherence through policies, procedures, and audits.
  • Training and Education:
    Design and deliver training programs to equip staff with knowledge on safety protocols, compliance requirements, emergency procedures, and ethical practices. Promote continuous learning to strengthen a proactive safety culture.
  • Incident Investigation:
    Lead the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions and ensure proper documentation and follow-through.
  • Emergency Preparedness:
    Develop, implement, and regularly test emergency response plans (e.g., water-related incidents, fire, equipment failure, environmental hazards) to ensure operational readiness and minimize impact.
  • Health Monitoring:
    Oversee employee health and wellbeing programs, including occupational health checks, exposure monitoring, and initiatives to prevent work-related illnesses and injuries.
  • Reporting:
    Prepare and present regular HSE reports, including key metrics, incident data, compliance status, and risk trends, to support informed decision-making by leadership.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with cross-functional teams (operations, HR, maintenance, and leadership) to integrate health and safety practices into daily operations and ensure alignment across departments.
  • Environmental Management:
    Oversee environmental protection initiatives, including waste management, water quality control, pollution prevention, and sustainable aquaculture practices, ensuring minimal environmental impact.

Position Overview:
The King Faisal Hospital Rwanda Foundation (KFHRF) is supporting Rwanda’s Ministry of Health (MoH) national strategy launched in 2023 to quadruple the healthcare workforce within four years. Program Overview

Position Overview

3. Scope of Work

The Entrepreneur in Residence Manager will support the Fellowship across two main phases:

The Manager will:

● Contribute to the design of the Fellowship entrepreneurship and business development curriculum.

● Support the development of practical modules focused on startup growth and business sustainability.

● Design and or contribute to sessions covering topics such as:

Phase 2: Advisory and Mentorship Support to Participating Companies

During the six-month acceleration period, the Manager will:

● Provide regular one-on-one mentorship sessions with each of the eight participating companies.

● Support founders to:

o Refine their business models and revenue strategies

o Validate their market assumptions

o Strengthen product market fit

o Develop go-to-market strategies

o Improve operational and team management structures

o Strengthen financial planning and sustainability

● Guide companies in preparing for potential partnerships with schools, institutions, and other actors within the Rwandan education ecosystem.

● Support founders in developing investor-ready materials such as pitch decks, business plans, and growth strategies.

● Participate in key program activities, including mentorship sessions, workshops, progress reviews, and the final demo day.

● Provide written feedback and recommendations following advisory sessions.

● Contribute to tracking the company’s progress and identifying areas where founders need additional support.


4. Deliverables

The Entrepreneur in Residence Manager will deliver the following outputs:

a) Contribution to the Fellowship entrepreneurship curriculum and program structure.

b) Business development training materials and workshop content.

c) Practical tools and templates for startup growth and business strategy.

d) Mentorship session summaries for each participating company.

e) Mid-term progress brief highlighting the business development progress of the cohort.

f) Final report including:

● Key improvements in the company’s business strategies

● Observations on startup growth and market readiness

● Recommendations for strengthening future cohorts of the Fellowship.

7. Required Qualifications and Experience

7.1. Must be an Entrepreneur

The candidate must have experience starting and running a business. We are looking for someone with a true “founder’s spirit” who has faced the challenges of building a company from the ground up.

7.2. Academic Background

a) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management, Economics, or a related field.


7.3. Professional Experience

● Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in:

o Startup development and entrepreneurship

o Business strategy and growth advisory

o Supporting early-stage companies or innovation programs

o Working with technology startups or digital businesses

● Experience working within the Rwandan startup ecosystem or with innovation programs is strongly preferred.

● Experience supporting founders through acceleration programs, incubators, or venture building initiatives is an added advantage.

o Foundations of the science of learning

● Develop practical tools and templates for participating companies, including:

o Learning effectiveness diagnostic tools

o Product learning audits

● Ensure all frameworks and tools are aligned with the Rwanda Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and consider local constraints such as low-internet bandwidth (internet penetration) and multilingual (English/Kinyarwanda) environments.

Phase 2: Technical Advisory Support to Participating Companies

During the six-month acceleration period, the Manager will:

● Conduct structured learning-effectiveness diagnostics for each of the eight companies.

● Provide tailored advisory sessions (individual and group-based).

● Support founders to:

o Clarify and define learning outcomes

o Align content and product features with cognitive science principles

o Improve learner journeys and engagement strategies

o Strengthen assessment and feedback mechanisms

o Apply evidence-based approaches such as spaced practice, retrieval practice, and active learning

● Review prototypes, content structures, and product iterations from a learning-effectiveness perspective.

● Contribute to defining and tracking education-related performance indicators.

● Provide written feedback summaries for each company.

● Contribute to progress review sessions and final program reflections.


4. Deliverables

The Manager shall deliver:

a) Fellowship Learning Framework (co-developed document)

b) Science of Learning training materials and workshop content

c) Diagnostic tools and practical templates for founders

d) Advisory session summaries for each company

e) Mid-term progress brief

f) Final technical report including:

● Strengthening of learning effectiveness

● Recommendations for future cohorts

g) Pedagogical Audit Reports: a report for each company at the start and end of the program to show how much their educational quality improved.

Supporting individual adults and families through provision of case management services and increasing the community’s capacity to identify and respond to Child Protection and VAWC concerns.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :

Direct Case Management Support

  • Provide life‑saving response and case management services to individuals affected by and at risk of violence against women and children, including domestic violence, early and forced marriage, sexual abuse and exploitation, and child abuse.
  • Ensure that survivors receive timely, survivor‑centred individual case management support through registration, assessments, case plans, safety planning, direct service provision, referrals, and regular follow‑up in line with international best practice standards and SOPs.
  • Conduct follow‑up and monitoring visits based on the urgent protection needs and safety risks identified for each survivor.
  • Escalate urgent, high‑risk, or complex cases immediately to the direct supervisor to enable rapid life‑saving action.
  • Establish and maintain constructive and confidential relationships with service providers to ensure rapid and effective referral pathways.
  • Work closely with other teams and sectors to ensure the effective identification and support of survivors of violence against women and children.
  • Support the establishment and facilitation of therapeutic and psychosocial support groups for survivors of violence against women and children.
  • Ensure strict adherence to principles of confidentiality, informed consent, best interests of the child, Do No Harm, and other case management and safeguarding standards, including proper use of case management tools and forms.
  • Work with cultural sensitivity and uphold the dignity of vulnerable individuals, families, and members of host and displaced communities at all times.


Administration, Documentation and Reports

  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up‑to‑date case files for all cases involving violence against women and children.
  • Participate in case conferences, supervision sessions, and case management meetings as required.
  • Adhere to strict information management and confidentiality protocols, ensuring information is shared only in compliance with these standards.

Support and participate in programme monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities as needed.
