American Dream Home International-ADHI Rwanda Ltd is a newly established company in Rwanda involved in various projects including the construction of a housing development, TVET academies, and factories.

We are looking for a dedicated project engineer to assist with the scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality. The Project Engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects and will establish inspection criteria for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project.




Objectives of this role

  • Maximize project efficiency and profitability
  • Determine project specifications and acquire the necessary materials for completion
  • Develop scope and parameters for project design and implementation
  • Identify project responsibilities, delegating phases and elements to the appropriate personnel
  • Oversee the development of design proposals and manage quantities
  • Develop and control the full project-plan lifecycle
  • Respond to request for information (RFI) and field change request (FCR) throughout the project lifecycle





Responsibilities

  • Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
  • Formulating project parameters and assigning responsibilities to the most capable employees and monitoring the project team.
  • Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing them in the field.
  • Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project’s status.
  • Cooperating and communicating with the project manager and other project participants and collaborating with senior engineers to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project’s profitability.
  • Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
  • Developing specifications for the project’s needed equipment.

Required skills and qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the recruitment and interview processes
  • Update and keep employee records in check
  • Maintain a good record of employee attendance per shift

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for stock management including periodic stock reconciliation.
  • Book transportation/create shipment according negotiated rate and preferred vendor strategy.
  • Proactively manage project materials cost against estimated project costs to ensure margin/profit objectives are met or exceeded

– Engage in the revision and development of school health and nutrition-related policies and strategies and advocate for the integration of school feeding, WASH, Health and nutrition in sectoral policies
-Advocate for increased funding for comprehensive school-based programming including budgets for school feeding, Health, nutrition and WASH.
-Lead mobilization and advocacy efforts to support the implementation of the National Comprehensive School Feeding Policy and the NCD Agency Strategic Plan, the operationalization of the School Feeding Operational Guidelines and the National Nutrition Guidelines for School-aged Children and Adolescents and the scale up of school feeding to all pre- primary to secondary students,
– Support efforts toward the harmonization and mainstreaming of complementary school feeding programs in NCD Agency (National School Feeding Programs, One Cup of Milk and the Home-Grown School Feeding programs).

– Provide financial management and oversight of funds transferred by WFP to NCD Agency, according to Government of Rwanda financial regulations and laws, and work with NCD Agency’s finance department in all matters related to the project finances. Ensure accurate utilization of the funds received from WFP and financial report.
– In coordination with WFP, NCD Agency, MINAGRI and MINEDUC, analyze M&E results from regular monitoring activities, to direct and revise nutrition sensitive school feeding program implementation.
– Organize quarterly supervision and monitoring to HGSF-supported schools, to engage with project stakeholders on the progress of implementation of activities.

To apply for a full New Zealand Scholarship, you must be 18 years old or older when you start your scholarship. Scholars are expected to contribute to their country’s social or economic development for two years after completing their scholarship study. The purpose of a New Zealand Scholarship is to fund the training of citizens from developing countries, so they can positively impact on their country’s development by sharing new skills and knowledge gained from their study. That is why scholars are expected to return home after their scholarship for at least two years to contribute to the social and economic development of their own country.

Work Experience Requirements

When assessing scholarship applications, applicants who want to study courses that align strongly with their current work experience and applicants who will continue working in their current job sector after they finish their scholarship are preferred.

Job Description

• To develop a framework to produce indicators to monitor poverty change;
• To gather and to analyze all data related to poverty and poor households;
• To collaborate closely with the relevant Ministries to establish standards of data collection related to poverty according to national and international norms;
• To produce annually poverty analysis report in collaboration with relevant institutions;
• To participate in the design of Household surveys;
• To do any other task related to the job as may be required by the supervisors




Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics
