About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager who is ready to add immediate value to our operations team. He/she will be based in Kagano, Nyamasheke half of the time split with Kigali office.

What you will do:

  • Manage transportation logistics, including negotiating contracts with carriers and freight forwarders, arranging shipments, and selecting optimal shipping methods to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Coordinate transportation of fish from the farm to the logistics centers in different parts of the country.
  • Coordinate transportation of fish from the logistics centers to the different branches located across the country.
  • Manage transportation logistics for feed coming from our different feed supplies to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales and production teams, to optimize transportation routes and ensure efficient distribution.
  • Oversee inventory levels of fish products at various distribution centers and retail outlets to maintain adequate stock levels and maximize efficiency.
  • Implement inventory control measures to ensure product freshness and minimize spoilage.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of fish storage facilities and transportation equipment to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret logistics data to identify trends, optimize processes, and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as delivery times, inventory accuracy, and cost management.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of logistics personnel, including warehouse staff, drivers, and administrative staff.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to determine logistics needs and provide proposals for meeting those needs. 


What we’re looking for:

  • 3 + years of experience in the logistics operations, preferably within the perishable goods industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation and distribution practices, regulations, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.

The Head of Press should supervise and give guidance to staff while performing following activities:

  • Review job orders to determine any special printing instructions, stock specifications, colors or quantities to be printed.
  • Collect random samples and inspect them during print runs to determine if any adjustments need to be made and make adjustments as needed.
  • Fill ink fountains and purchase or mix inks throughout the week as needed. Adjust flow rates of ink fountains to achieve the desired flow amount for each press run.
  • Start presses and check proofs for ink alignment, registration, density and coverage. Make adjustments as needed.
  • Load paper onto presses, making adjustments when necessary, to accommodate various paper sizes. Adjust printing plate tolerances to meet the desired parameters for each press run.
  • Clean printing unit cylinders, plates and ink fountains at the completion of each press run.
  • Monitor and respond to error, alert or fault messages on automated press operation systems; make minor repairs to oil presses and other equipment as needed using hand tools.
  • Feed paper through press cylinders, adjusting tension and feed controls as needed.
  • Report on daily, weekly and monthly production activities.

Position Overview

The right person for this role has experience in data analyzing , reporting and M&E systems creation. He/she has knowledge on  programming: google forms, survey CTO,  and has the ability to use statistical software: Excel/Google sheets , Statistical software (Stata, SPSS, R,….), Data visualization software (Google data studio, Tableau, etc.,…) Online data collection platforms (SurveyCTO, Text it, google forms,…). You’ll be ultra-organized and self-motivated, capable of keeping multiple balls in the air with limited supervision, and a collaborative team player who can build relationships with a diverse range of teams. Performance Objectives 

Data Analysis and Reporting 70%

  • Liaise with design and program’s Team at the beginning of the term to understand and align on the key metrics to collect and report on
  • Develop a live and non live dashboards for all products/programs and run training/capacity building sessions to ensure that the team understands well the analysis displayed and use them in their day to day work.
  • Ensure accurate compilation and timely publication of M&E monitoring reports as well as the timely and accurate maintenance of the M&E Dashboards;
  • Lead reflection on and interpretation of Monitoring Reports and make programmatic recommendations to the team for data-based decision-making.
  • Conduct the internal training/capacity building sessions within M&E team, to ensure that everyone’s understand the data displayed on dashboard and know how to communicate that with the program’s team

  • Assist M&E coordinator in the development of monitoring tools (electronic surveys, paper surveys, logistics database, training content, monitoring procedures, etc.) and program Logistic dashboards
  • Assist M&E coordinator to develop and execute data quality assurance throughout the implementation period and by the end of the term
  • Collected feedback from the team on M&E tools and resources on a termly basis and make any necessary changes based on their feedback.

M&E Implementation 10%

  • Assist M&E coordinator to design and lead termly trainings on M&E and provide ongoing capacity building on M&E to the programs team;
  • Assist M&E coordinator & M&E officer to develop weekly communications with data based –  key highlights on the program implementation

Evaluation and Research 10%

  • Assist Evaluation & products team to set learning agenda, determine methodology, design data collection, and oversee execution of research and evaluation;
  • Supervise and coordinate timely and high-quality implementation of data collection and research, ensuring effective coordination across departments;
  • Supervise entry of quantitative and qualitative data for evaluation/research projects
  • Liaise with external researchers and evaluators for on-time completion of high quality research and evaluation, as needed;

  • Collaborate with other business units in the development of business models for use across the organization and develop measurement strategies to support ongoing strategy development and products optimization.
  • Collaborate and co-create with other MTN RWANDA functions and subsidiaries as needed on propositions and shared go-to-market strategy.
  • Network and build solid relationships with internal units and relevant third parties (e.g. strategic investors, technical and finance partners, business consultants etc.) and develop a close working relationship with relevant information sources to provide an integrated service.
  • Review market and internal conditions and contribute to the development of marketing strategies for consumer segments.
  • Implement strategy for market growth in conjunction with Product Development Managers, Regional Marketing and other stakeholders.
  • Define market needs based on relevant value proposition packages for each segment.
  • Plan and execute integrated got-to-market programs in conjunction with the brand and communication teams,  regional managers, Sales & Distribution department and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.




Job Requirements

Education

  • First degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or relevant disciplines.
  • Possession of post graduate degree (MBA/ Masters in relevant discipline) will be advantageous.
  • Fluent in English and French. Knowledge of Kinyarwanda will be advantageous.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years working experience with at least 3 years in managerial role in relevant sector/ industry.
  • Proven experience in proposition development, customer management, marketing management, market research, sales, and channel management in telecom or FMCG.
  • Proven experience in Design Thinking / Customer-centred Design.
