Nyungwe Management Company Ltd (NMC Ltd) was created by the management agreement between the Government of Rwanda (through RDB) and African Parks Network, to manage Nyungwe National Park for 20 years starting from October 2020. NMC Ltd is seeking to recruit suitable candidates to fill the post of Mechanic in Nyungwe National Park. The candidates must be Rwandan, technically skilled with good problem-solving ability, be enthusiastic, motivated, reliable, and able to execute tasks independently.

JOB TITLE: Mechanic

RERORTING TO: Logistics Officer


Duties and Key responsibilities not exhaustive

  • Build and assemble Vehicles and machines or mechanical components
  • Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
  • Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
  • Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Perform thorough maintenance on vehicles, equipment and systems
  • Schedule and maintain history records of all vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and set safety standards
  • Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
  • Ensure all safety systems are in check before performing any procedure


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Minimum Education and Qualification Required

  • Having Advanced Diploma (A1) in General Mechanics, Motor Vehicle Mechanics or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work on tight deadlines, and flexibility.
  • Clean record of conduct
  • Driving license Category,B at a minimum
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to adapt to the park’s working environment, and work overtime when needed;
  • Exposure of working with a multi-currency set up;
  • Between 25 and 40 years of age.

  • Meet VVIP/VIP Charters and collect their orders and distribute them to concerned departments
  • Record on daily basis sales figures, number of flights and share the monthly consolidated reports with the management
  • Interact face to face with the flight crew to address arising needs, and ensure that customers receive excellent service based on the flight’s specific requirements
  • Ensure handover report to the purser is completely done and invoices are signed.
  • Ensure that fuel requisition forms and logbooks are properly filled for all trucks
  • Fill and send all the invoices to finance department for billing
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor

Required Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance or Industrial Catering or other related fields
  • Good communication skills
  • Possess Valid Rwandan Driving License Category B, Having C would be an added advantage
  • Computer literate with MS Office (word, excel, power point).

Your challenge and responsibilities:

Ntare Louisenlund School is seeking a boarding school nurse who will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of students. This position involves providing direct healthcare services, promoting health education, managing student health records, and collaborating with school staff, parents, and healthcare professionals to support student health needs. Your Main Responsibilities:

Healthcare Services:

The CFM is a centralized system for receiving and managing feedback and complaints about WFP’s programmes in the field. It is designed to give beneficiaries and other community members additional avenues for accessing information about WFP’s programmes, and raising issues of concern in a safe and confidential way. WFP has five CFM communication channels (toll free hotline, help desk, suggestion box, CFM committee, and email) in refugee operations, in school feeding and other programmes, which beneficiaries use to report their complaints, inquiries, and provide feedback to WFP.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

Under the direct supervision of Programme Policy Officer (Gender and Protection), the incumbent will support the WFP Rwanda Country Office (CO) to manage WFP’s toll free mainly: receive cases through the hotline (voice call and text), recording them in the SUGAR CRM database system, and escalating them for resolution. The incumbent is expected to develop and lead initiatives with minimal supervision while coordinating internally and externally with relevant colleagues and partners.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Operating and managing WFP Hotline by receiving, answer, record, respond to, escalate, and manage incoming calls and text messages from beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
  • Clearly translate a complaint from the local language into written English.
  • Categorize, analyze, screen, and consolidate information about complaints and feedbacks to subsequent actions.
  • Record the incoming complaints, enquiries, and feedbacks into the customer relations management database system (Sugar CRM) and facilitating close out of cases resolved once feedback is provided to beneficiaries
  • Assign all issues which require investigation to the respective CFM focal point staff after the screening process in line with the escalation matrix

  • Provide information to beneficiaries in response to enquiries regarding WFP programme and services.

  • Compile and escalate sensitive complaints like harassment, SEA, abuse, exploitation and categorize in line with the standard operating procedures
  • Facilitate caller satisfaction surveys to gauge effectiveness of the CFM communication channels
  • Contribute to the development of standardized key messages, necessary to facilitate first-case-resolution for common queries in all coordination with all relevant units.

Expected results: 

  • All complaints and feedback received through the hotline are captured, recorded, and tracked through the Sugar CRM database system

  • Regular updates and monthly reports are presented to the Programme Policy Officer (Gender and Protection) and to the programme managers.
  • Confidentiality is upheld in case handling and throughout the CFM processes

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Completion of University degree/diploma in communications, education, business administration, social sciences, or any related fields; development studies or management is desirable.

Languages: Excellent English writing and communication skills. Fluency in Kinyarwanda is essential

Experience:  At least four years of programme related experience. Community engagement experience is an added advantage.

Knowledge & Skills: Strong analytical, writing and communication skills with excellent database management, computer literacy and reporting skills.

Well organized with a demonstrated customer service attitude and relationship building, ability to work with minimal supervision, eager to learn and motivated to work in humanitarian field.

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

As the Academy Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering coffee education and training programs. You will be responsible to inspire barista students to excel in the coffee industry.

The role will require Academy classroom management, training of trainers, training of barista students, and reporting on progress of trainers and barista students.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Conduct training in our Academy, or with partner sites such as other training institutions or private sector on-job training.
  • Prepare lesson plans with activities, materials needed, intended outcomes.
  • Prepare academy teaching materials such as presentation, hand-outs etc.
  • Keep good care of teaching materials and equipment and be responsible for the accurate inventory of academy assets.
  • Work closely with Operations Manager on the organizing of academy activities, budget, and student expectations (arrival time, class schedule, lunch breaks etc.).
  • Adhere to the standards and regulations set by Specialty Coffee Association for certified courses.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager and develop a comprehensive plan on the academy training program and how to grow it.
  • Research and integrate latest industry advancements and techniques into existing course materials.
  • Report to SGR management on the ongoing success, challenges, and recommended solutions of the training program.
  • Develop and deliver barista training programs for new and existing staff, covering coffee knowledge, beverage preparation, equipment operation, customer. service, and cafe procedures.
  • Assist baristas during busy periods and troubleshoot any operational issues they encounter.


REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE

  • Fluent in English, French and Kinyarwanda.
  • Valid Certified AST in Foundations of Coffee, Barista and Brewing Modules.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an SCA training environment as a lead trainer, preferably training in English.
  • Experience teaching in English, preferably to students who are not native English speakers.
  • Experience with classroom management and school administration.
  • University degree in Hospitality related fields is preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities.

  • Attend all FAWE Rwanda events and take high resolution photos and videos.
  • Produce high resolution photos and videos.
  • Produce high resolution images and requested videos for specific stories/success stories and events gathered from the field to be posted on our website and social media platform.
  • Share with FAWE Rwanda the raw materials for archives.
  • Conduct short interviews with FAWE stakeholders to post on social media when required.
  • Produce annual and other FAWE documentaries when required.
  • Provide livestreaming services when needed.
  • In charge of FAWE Rwanda Website Management.

Required documents:

  1. Official letter to the National Coordinator of FAWE Rwanda expressing the company’s interest for this lot.
  2. Company profile (not more than 1 page)
  3. Company Registration Certificate from RDB with core Business Management photography, videography and producing documentaries.
  4. Valid Tax Clearance from Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA)

  6. CVs of at least 3 staff with the relevant experience and qualification
  7. Samples of documentaries (videos) and photos produced not before 2021 or links to access the (at least 3 references/ certificates of good completion from Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).

  9. At least 3 certificates of good completion for Website Management from Non-Governmental Organizations during the past 3 years (under a framework contract).
  10. Proof of issuing EBM invoices.
  11. RSSB certificate.
  12. Technical proposal clarifying the methodology and the responsibilities of technical staff.
  13. Financial proposal in Rwandan Francs (all tax included) for performing the tasks and responsibilities in the table below.

Each bidder is requested to submit the above requested documents and fill the unit cost for the services highlighted in the table below. Failing to provide any of the above-mentioned documents or quotation for any item will lead to the rejection of the bid.

Norwegian People’s Aid in Rwanda supports civil society organizations and citizens to participate in and impact the formulation and implementation of national and local policymaking, planning, and governance.  While strengthening their internal management systems including financial, and monitoring systems, and their advocacy and research capacities, NPA civil society partners support citizens to raise and express their opinions and interests with decision-makers, to seek accountability, and to advocate that local government planning and decision-making is influenced by those citizen concerns. The same partners also support citizens’ access to justice and reporting of corruption.  Civil society partners work at the national level too to use research, media engagement, and advocacy to influence debates and generate dialogue between citizens, CSOs, and decision-makers.  

Vacancy

NPA is currently seeking an Administration and Finance Assistant. The administration and Finance Assistant is required to assist Norwegian People’s Aid’s (NPA) with assigned financial and administrative tasks.

All responsibilities and reporting must be carried out in accordance with the strategic objectives of the NPA, the Regulation for Delegation of Authorization and other relevant procedures and guidelines in the Quality Management System, as well as approved local guidelines, regulations and issued memos. Any deviation from the above must be reported to the Finance Manager.

The position is based in Kigali with travel to other areas as required. 

Job Description for Administration and Finance Assistant. 


Summary of the Position: 

  • Prepare Vouchers for payments, including obtaining necessary authorization with adequate details and supporting documents (Review of Invoices and other documents).
  • Prepare all the files for archives for different departments as assigned.
  • Maintain proper filing and record-keeping systems within the accounts department, enabling efficient tracking of information at any time.
  • Support on VAT claims for the different projects.
  • Support NPA Programme audits and provide required information for successful completion.
  • Participate in donors reporting and partner audit-related work as required. Prepare meeting minutes and other documents for NPA departments.
  • Ensure monthly scanning of Finance transactions.
  • Assist with overall records tracking and digital archiving.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager and other senior.

Required qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business administration

Experience:

Must have:

  • Technical experience as a successful Administration/Finance Assistant overseeing complex multi-donor funds and local partners with documented good results.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in finance and or Administration department, preferably with another INGO or similar.
  • Experience with computer skills and scanning documents.
  • High-level English language proficiency, both written and oral.
  • Good understanding of ICT systems and experience with MS Office applications, including Excel.

Bank assurance Officer

Directly reporting to: Central Hub Manager.

Major Responsibilities:

The Bank assurance Officer is the execution of day-to-day-insurance operations, which entails cross-selling of insurance products, ensuring posting of premiums transactions, claims administration and documentation as well as follow up on renewals.

Tasks:

  • Drive sustainable growth of the assigned portfolio in order to achieve the set business targets.
  • Lead the development of a Strategy for Bank assurance, advice Management on execution of implementation progress,
  • Effectively create new client relationships and partnerships whilst ensuring retention of existing business relationships through high standards of customer service.
  • Execution of day to day insurance operations which entails cross-selling of insurance products, ensuring posting of risk premium transactions, claims administration and documentation as well as follow up on renewals.
  • Champion the delivery of consistent, seamless and trusted customer service to ensure customer retention and loyalty.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on insurance transactions.
  • Collection of premium on all insurance business transacted as per laid down procedures.
  • Ensure customer enquiries are addressed promptly as per laid down policies and procedures.
  • Champion insurance products training at the Branch by working closely with Branch management to sensitize customers on insurance products.
  • Champion Insurance Sales activation programs in conjunction with the branches
  • Ensure compliance to the Bank’s policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinating the reporting requirements to the Central Bank as per the regulatory requirements


Qualification and Experience

  • University Degree in Insurance or other related field with a sound experience in financial transactions,
  • 2 Years of working experience
