Job responsibilities
1.Receives, stores, and issues supplies and equipment and compiles records of supply transactions aboard ship:  Ensure safe keeping both as to quality and quantity of materials;  Maintain proper records and ensure good safety of stock;  Initiate purchase requisitions for the replacement of stock of allregular stores items whenever the stock level of any item of store approaches the minimum limit fixed in respect thereof;  Initiate action for stoppage of further purchasing when the stock level approaches the maximum limit;  Check and receive purchased needed materials forwarded by the department;  Check the book balances, with the actual physical stock at frequent intervals by way of internal;  Update all records related to stocktaking management;  Prepare periodic report on consumption analysis;  Participate in inventory activities of the institution;  Consolidate end-users needs;  Submit monthly, quarterly and annually report to the supervisor.
