Job responsibilities
 Identify trends and Initiate policies, guidelines and regulations together with relevant stakeholders that advance the creation and development of innovations across sectors;  Support and follow up the development of the Centric National Innovation, Ecosystem and the Tech-Innovation Policy;  Support and follow up of the development of the ICT enabled BPO framework and Strategy for Rwanda;  Promote, support and strengthen research based innovations in the sector;  Ensure that the development of the ICT sector strategies is based on professional analyses of existing trends, current data and methodical, long-term thinking;  Coordinate the setup of incubators/accelerators and centers of excellence that promote research and innovation;  Ensure the proper utilization of allocated Innovation funds that contribute to the creation, development and growth of startups;  Work closely with the Kigali Innovation City to showcase Rwanda as a Proof of Concept Nation;  Manage and maintain excellent working relationship with both national and international stakeholders and initiate partnerships that promote, strengthen and drive the innovation ecosystem across different sectors;  Support the planning, monitoring and evaluation teams both in developing, planning, budgeting and effective reporting;  Perform any other duties assigned by the Ministry authorities.
