Who’s eligible
You must:
be an Australia Citizen, New Zealand Citizen, or an Australian Permanent Resident
have an unconditional offer of admission or be enrolled in a full-time PhD at the Faculty of Science
hold an honours degree (first class or equivalent) or a master’s degree with a substantial research component in a related field
be willing to research plant pathogen interactions, specifically in the pathogen causing myrtle rust
be undertaking or willing to undertake research under the supervision of Professor Robert Park
have a background or interest in: plant molecular biology, plant disease resistance and plant fungal pathogens, computational and genome biology and scripting languages such as Python or R.
Background
This Scholarship has been developed to support an outstanding postgraduate research student at the Faculty of Science to undertake research in examining the environmental pathogen causing myrtle rust under the supervision of Professor Robert Park.
This scholarship is supported by Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship.
