Job Description
– Develop Strategic environmental assessment requirements in policies, plans, and development programmes.
– Contribute to the development of legal instruments in the form of guidelines and regulations of Strategic environmental assessment.
– Facilitate “Screening” and determine whether the plan, programme, policy requires to undergo SEA.
– Undertake Scoping to determine the Nature and Extent of Impacts of any policy, plan, and development programme on the environment.
– Prepare/review the terms of reference to undertake Strategic Environmental Assessment.
– Facilitate/conduct consultations with relevant authorities and public for any policy, plan, and development programme which requires to undergo the Strategic Environmental Assessment;
– Review the Strategic Environmental Assessment report and recommend the decision to be made.
– Ensure the integration of SEA outcomes in any policy, plan, and development programme formulation.
– Monitor and evaluate SEA outcomes from different sectors during the implementation of any policy, plan, and development programme which conducted SEA.
