Rwanda Revenue Authority is seeking to recruit self-motivated, qualified persons of high integrity to fill the following position:
SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (1 POSITION)
Objective
A Software Developer is responsible for several duties throughout the software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing. The developer is required to create user information solutions through the development, implementation, and maintenance of application components and interfaces.
Main duties and responsibilities
1. Plan, write, maintain, test and document code for Rwanda Revenue Authority applications
and platforms. Code will adhere to internal coding standards.
2. Function as an integral part of the development team, actively contributing towards the
development of our tools, services and platforms.
3. Work closely with other engineers to architect and implement new features.
4. Conduct user research with other members of RRA workforce to identify improvements to our existing services or where new services could be developed.
5. Troubleshoot coding problems quickly and efficiently ensure a productive workplace.
6. Analyze and test programs and products before formal deployment in production.
Qualifications, Skills and competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Computer
Engineering or a related field required
At least 1 year of professional software development experience with Java and JavaScript
Proficient in at least one programming language
Experience with SQL database systems.
Worked independently or as part of a team to deliver working applications using Java or c#
Ability to write self-documented, succinct and reliable code
Must have skill in Spring framework and a frontend web framework
Skills in bootstrap, Xamarin, React.js or other frontend web framework
Have worked with version control systems, such as SVN, GIT, etc.
