Job Description
Lead the integration of ICT-related capabilities into existing community development projects, and advice in the design and implementation of such capabilities.
• Conduct research and develop concepts, prototypes, products and recommend strategies for the improvement of the Smart Cities in Rwanda.
• Serve as primary liaison personnel with the rural community development specialists seeking to exploit the potential of ICT.
• Conduct period digital profiling of smart city & communities initiatives and ensure effective operationalization of various community technical working groups to meet set goals.
• Identify potential opportunities and conceptualize ICT-related initiatives for proposed rural development projects and ensure the improved adoption of ICT innovations.
• Support broader efforts to incorporate ICT into rural development activities, including assisting local government various institutions.
• Lead the smart device penetration strategy by conducting the awareness and supporting initiatives intended to implement smart device penetration.
• Conduct assessments and monitor research metrics of the smart devices penetration rate and access in communities.
• Suggest training tools to enhance capacity building and skills development in response to technologies deployed in smart cities.
• Contribute to the development of smart city strategy and lead on the implementation of the corresponding activities.
