Reporting to the Head, Enterprise Solutions, the Senior Partnership Officer will be responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
About RSSB
The Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) has the mandate to manage and promote social security in Rwanda. RSSB’s vision is to provide a comprehensive social security system that caters to the diverse social security needs of the population, RSSB plays an important role in realizing Vision 2050 and the National Strategy for Transformation (NST1). RSSB manages six social security schemes, namely: Pension, Occupational Hazards, Medical scheme, CBHI, Maternity Leave Benefits and EjoHeza (Long-term Term Saving Scheme).
As a leading player in the financial sector, RSSB serves as the largest institutional investor in Rwanda. With assets under management amounting to 2.06 trillion Rwf , which is equivalent to over 15% of the country’s GDP, RSSB invests in key sectors of the economy and plays a crucial role in growing the country’s financial sector. With approximately 12 million members in the above six schemes, encompassing over 90% of Rwanda’s population, RSSB is at the forefront of securing the health and financial well-being of Rwandans.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify potential partnership opportunities and initiate collaborations with key stakeholders, vendors, and industry partners
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, effectively communicating and managing expectations, requirements, and deliverables
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings, presentations, and discussions with partners to align on technical solutions, roadmaps, and project implementation
- Proactively identify and address potential issues or challenges within partnerships, proposing and implementing resolutions in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with partners, fostering trust and promoting a collaborative environment
- Monitor and report on the progress and performance of partnerships, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and solutions teams, to ensure alignment and integration of partnership initiatives
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to establish and strengthen partner relationships
- Readily available to assist with any additional related tasks as assigned by manager
Key Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate must have at least:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a partnership management or business development role, preferably within the technology industry

- Proven track record of successfully establishing and managing complex technical partnerships
- Strong understanding of the organization’s products, services, and technical capabilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficient in project management methodologies and tools
- Familiarity with relevant technologies, frameworks, and industry trends
- Experience with contract negotiation and management

Additional Information:
The position is based in Kigali, Rwanda and applicants must be willing to relocate outside their countries of domicile.
