• Performs detailed analysis on inventory costs to assist in the development of standard costs and understanding of inventory variances.
• Execute daily standard cost updates (or periodically as required) in ERP
• Update process on an annual basis
• Analyzes results of inventory counts and their impact to the Income statement
• Reconciles and balances general ledger accounts, then researches and corrects any discrepancies
• Interacts with cross-functional teams including plant operations, procurement and commercial groups
• Partners closely with the Business Unit Controller to monitor key financial performance indicators and makes recommendations to improve performance
• Responsible for Month End Close
• Responsible to close Work Orders on a Weekly basis and investigate variances when required
• Run month end process order settlements and assessments and provide monthly reporting on various related metrics
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and teams designed to provide improvements to current purchasing practices and processes
• Costing of inventory and coordination with Purchasing for the accuracy of the quantities of inventory.
• Responsible for the analysis and forecasting of Machine job hours and cost data.
• Run WIP reports on open jobs and on job orders that have shipped.

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Knowledge of accounting procedures and practices, preferably in a manufacturing environment a must.
• Working knowledge of tax laws and IFRS
• Strong financial analysis skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
• CPA/ACCA Certification is an added Advantage
