Sales Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Planning annual forecasts and gross margins by implementing the right strategies in analyzing trends and results.
  • Match sales objectives by developing annual sales quotas, and projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products/customers.
  • Implements sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
  • Increases sales volume by observing and aligning to trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
  • Completes sales operational requirements by following up on work results.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration
  • MBA preferred
  • Two to three years of experience as sales manager
  • Three to five years of sales experience
  • Proven track record of positive sales performance
