Terms of Reference for Professional Internship position at NPAI
In partnership with the Job in Rwanda Foundation with its mission to upskill job seekers, particularly fresh graduates by finding them the best places in different institutions in various fields for internships and apprenticeships, Norwegian People’s Aid wishes to give a Professional Internship.
Introduction
NPA strives globally to promote the values of solidarity, unity, equality, human rights, and democracy. Norwegian People’s Aid works in partnership with local organizations with an aim is to support their efforts for a more equitable distribution of power and resources in their communities. A prerequisite for just distribution is that people have the opportunity to participate in, and influence decision making.
NPA Background
Since 2009, NPA has been working in partnership with local civil society organizations on the Public Policy Information Monitoring and Advocacy Programme in Rwanda (PPIMA). PPIMA is a civil society support project that promotes participation in decision-making processes while promoting civil society and citizen participation in the formulation and implementation of national and local policies and plans in order to support improvements in service delivery and promote effective engagements between citizens and decision-makers.
Brief Description of the Role/Duties and Responsibilities
Staring 1 November 2020, the internship will last for a period of 3 months and will offer the successful applicant an insight through on-the-job training and mentoring substantive experience in all aspects of programme management including financial and administrative support as well as project management.
Key qualifications
Education:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Economics, Finance or similar
General experience and skills:
- Good interpersonal and teamworking skills;
- Good written, analytical, presentation, reporting, and IT skills;
Languages:
- Excellent Knowledge and Fluency in English.
Duration of the assignment
- The appointment will be for a duration of three (three) months
Reporting requirements
- The Intern will report directly to the Management Team.
