SUMMARY OF ROLE
IntraHealth seeks a procurement intern for the USAID Ingobyi Activity. The Ingobyi Activity supports the Ministry of Health (MOH) to reduce preventable infant and maternal deaths, reduce the incidence of malaria, and bring high-quality, integrated health services to more Rwandan mothers, children, and adolescents and fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
IntraHealth International Inc., Rwanda Office is hiring a Procurement Intern who will assist the procurement team to deliver day-to-day procurement related work. The duration of this internship is for three (3) month period with possibility to be extended for another period of three (3) months depending on Intern’s performance and availability of funds.
The internship aims to give the Intern an opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned from a training institution in a real-world setting. Therefore, the Intern is not entitled to wages or a promise of employment at the completion of the internship period. The activities carried out during the internship must be in conformity with IntraHealth International Rwanda Office’s mission and goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist in recording all procurements in a procurement tracker daily.
- Assist in verifying and receiving goods from vendors in consultation with users.
- Assist in filing of all procurement documents on a daily basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Recent graduates – graduated within the last two years.
- Bachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain management, and logistics management.
- A minimum of a second-class division.
- Rwandan by nationality.
- Good communication skills in English and/or French
- Good computer skills in Ms Word and Excel.
- Current enrollment in a medical insurance scheme.
