 Background

BUFMAR is a non-governmental organization created in 1975 by Christians. It is registered, as an NGO in accordance with law No 20/2000 of 26/07/2000 and law No. 04/2012 of 17/02/2012. In 2017 BUFMAR registered in RGB to comply with the then prevailing government requirements. The organizational mission is to contribute to the well-being of the Rwandan population by providing quality health services.

BUFMAR contributes to attainment of the ministry of Health’s strategic objectives through procurement, distribution of quality pharmaceutical products and medical equipment to Health facilities.

Purpose

BUFMAR received a grant from a Belgian Development Agency/ ENABEL objective is to reinforce capacities of targeted community Health Workers (CHWs) and Health Facility (HF) staff in inventory management of FP/ASRH and MNCH commodities, to reinforce stock management, monitoring, and reporting processes and to institutionalize the monitoring and management of stock for those commodities.

The project will be implemented in health facilities (Hospitals, health centers, secondary health posts) and within the community (through community health workers covering health sectors) in the following seven supported districts; Rusizi, Nyamasheke, Karongi, Gisagara, Gakenke, Rulindo, and Nyarugenge 




Principal duties and responsibilities

To ensue effective implementation of ENABEL project, BUFMAR need to recruit one District supervisor/ officer who will be based in each district of the implementation for period of 2 years non-renewable. The officer will be experienced in any area related to reproductive health, Adolescent and Sexual Reproductive Health, Maternal child and newborn health, Health commodities, forecasting, procurement, and supply chain management.

The specific responsibilities of the proposed officers will include;

1. Day today coordination of project activities at the decentralized level;

2. Facilitate the  coordination meetings at the District level;

3. Organize the review meetings with JADF at the district level.

4. Participate in the planning process and provide technical support during the planned trainings and mentorship of the health facilities staff and community health workers.

5. Collaborate with District and other key stakeholders to ensure that they are fully engaged in project interventions.

6. Coordinate project activities implementation in the catchment areas (in health facilities of seven Districts of project implementation and within community (CHWS)).

 7. Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly reports from health facilities supported by the project 8. Participate in monthly and quarterly evaluation of Health Facilities and Community Health Workers.

9. Ensure close follow and support the health facilities to implement of recommendations of the evaluation findings.

10. Actively involved in the documentation of the project best practices or most significant success stories related to project. And among other responsibilities

Required skills and qualifications

  • University graduates in Public Health, Health Education, Nursing, Epidemiology, Community Health, Social Sciences, and other related fields.
  • Relevant experience in decentralized health system
  • Proven experience in health project coordination
  • Experience in system monitoring and reporting
  • Strong experience in data management and analysis skills
  • Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda ;

The District Field Officer will be based in one of BUFMAR’s Districts of Interventions with some visits to Head office in Kigali.

Job Purpose

The information systems auditor responsible for strategizing and inspecting information processing systems and programs of the company in order to protect the possessions, to make sure that the information stored is right, and to promote the work effectiveness of the same. He/she may also study and examine the company’s specialized systems and areas where computers are placed.




Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess the design and operational effectiveness of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and IT General Controls (ITGCs).
  • Provide guidance on KRI/ITGC testing methodology, validation processes, procedures, adherence to policy, and documentation.
  • Work closely with other teams (Risk, IT, Information Security, etc.) to report, track and follow up on remediation plans.
  • Assist in the development of reporting materials for the various committees and advisory plans.
  • Plan and perform application and general systems control audits, control process reviews, and system development reviews.
  • Manage technology governance methodologies and frameworks.
  • Innovate control automation techniques to minimize compliance cost.
  • Review written work to ensure high-quality deliverables and minimal review iterations.
  • Performs risk assessments to assist internal audit function management in formulating risk-based audit plans.
  • Perform follow-up audit techniques with management to ascertain implementation of recommendations and assess the adequacy of the corrective action.
  • Conduct testing to assist BDF’s External auditors with the annual financial reporting audit.
  • Perform any other assigned by the Supervisors and Management.




Job Requirements, Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:

  • A University Degree in Computer Sciences, Business Information Management/systems from a recognized college/institution.
  • Be pursuing a professional designation/certification such as Certified Information Systems (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), (Full certification such as CISA is preferred) or other Risk Management Certifications, etc.
  • 3 years plus experience in information systems audits in Financial Services Industry such as Banking Sector or Insurances preferred.
  • Must be 35 years of age and below.
  • Solid understanding of risk and control concepts. Ability to apply these concepts to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of business processes and controls to mitigate risk to tolerance levels defined by management.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
  • Well-developed technical skills in Word and Excel.

Important Details:

The University of Bologna offers to deserving international students who wish to register for First Cycle, Second Cycle or Single Cycle Degree Programmes at the University of Bologna for A.Y. 2021/22:

  • study grants of €11,000 gross (Unibo Action 2);
  • tuition fee waivers (Unibo Action 1).

The study grants and the tuition fee waivers are assigned on the basis of SAT and GRE, and some TOLC tests, for one academic year.

 

Requirements

You can apply for Unibo Action 1&2 if:

  • you are in possession of (or about to obtain) a valid qualification for access to your chosen degree programme, issued by an Institution outside of the Italian education system. Students holding a diploma issued by an Italian school established outside Italy can apply as well.
  • You will take one of the following tests by the application deadline:
    – if you are interested in registering in a First or Single Cycle Degree Programme, the SAT and/or TOLC test
    – if you are interested in registering in a Second Cycle Degree Programme, the GRE test.
  • You are less than 30 years old upon the deadline of the call for application.

Your role

As a Software Tester at Deriv.com, you will engage in quality control throughout the product development lifecycle of all our products, services, and systems. You will help come up with test plans and ensure their execution on each stage, from planning until release. We process over a million transactions per day, and we need you to help deliver the best version of every product, fully optimised, free from bugs, and polished for client utilisation.

Your challenges

  • Perform high-quality automated and manual tests on the Deriv.com website, applications, backend infrastructure, and related systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the rest of the QA and IT teams to create, design, and run several types of testing based on different objectives.
  • Integrate various types of testing into our existing workflows, both internal and external.
  • Ensure the integrity of releases by coordinating testing procedures and activities.
  • Track and keep a detailed record of every bug that you discover.
  • Identify, document, and investigate issues reported by our clients and the Client Support team.
  • Replicate reported issues and work with our IT teams to find the root cause, understand the problem, and help come up with solutions.

 What you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or an equivalent combination of technical education, training, and work experience

– At least five (5) years of prior work experience in projects related to Gender equality and women empowerment, family promotion and child protection;
– At least 10 years of experience in project planning and management with a proven record of managing donor funded projects;
– Specialized trainings on sexual reproductive health and rights and gender
– based violence is an asset;
– Previous experience working with projects financed by international organizations would be an asset;
– A proven experience working /collaborating with national public institutions, multilateral institutions and bi

How to apply for the scholarship?

You can only apply for this scholarship after you have been fully accepted to UTC and have received your acceptance letter with your UTCID.


STEP 1: Complete your international undergraduate application at utc.edu/apply, pay the $30 application fee, and provide all required documents. Receive your acceptance letter and UTCID.

STEP 2: Complete the “Why UTC?” project. See below for more details.

STEP 3: Submit your online Scholarship Application Form.

STEP 4: All submissions will undergo a review process. If you are selected, you will receive a scholarship to help you pay your tuition and university fees. The scholarship will be deposited into your student account in two installments: one in the fall semester and one in the spring.

The Center for Global Education will appoint a selection committee to review the applications. The submissions will be evaluated based on the application content and whether eligibility requirements have been fulfilled. Who is eligible to receive the scholarship?

  • International first-time freshmen who have completed their UTC international undergraduate application and received an acceptance letter with a UTCID are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
  • UTC defines international students as F-1 visa applicants/holders.
  • International students who are currently recipients of other scholarships are NOT eligible for the UTC International Undergraduate Student Scholarship.
  • Students must maintain active F-1 status in order to receive the second installment of the scholarship.
  • Students must be registered for at least 12 credit hours. Students who are placed on a reduced course load are NOT eligible to receive the second installment of the scholarship.
  • Students whose records indicate Code of Conduct violations or Honor Code violations will NOT be eligible to receive the scholarship.
  • Students must earn a minimum 2.5 GPA during their first semester at UTC to receive the second installment of the scholarship.
  • During their first semester at UTC, students must participate in extracurricular activities organized by the Center for Global Education and provide a multimedia or written report by the end of November. The activities may include International Tea Time, Global Spotlight, International Education Week, International Buddy program events, CGE field trips, etc. The details of this assignment will be announced in the scholarship award letter.

“Why UTC?” project

As part of your scholarship application, you must complete one of the following projects: 1) record a three-minute video, 2) create a short presentation, 3) write an essay between 500 and 750 words in length, 4) create a short animation, or 5) create a poster to explain why you selected the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Alternatively, you can also provide evidence of other extraordinary achievements.

If you choose to create multimedia content, you must provide a link to it in the scholarship application. You will have to publish your content online first (e.g. youtube.com, youku.com, etc.). You will not be able to upload your content in the application portal.

Gorilla International Scholarship

Award: Up to $6,000 per year (renewable)

Scholarship will be applied in the form of a tuition waiver for up to four years of full time enrollment for undergraduate students and for up to two years of full time enrollment for graduate students. Scholarships are available for new international students (freshman, transfer and graduate) applying to PSU for the first time.

All admitted PSU students are eligible to be considered for General University Scholarships by completing the PSU online Scholarship Application. Criteria employed by the scholar­ship committee in making these awards may include: past academic performance, leadership, character, and financial need. Some awards are based entirely on merit. The deadline is February 1st of each year.

Honors College Scholarship

Presidential Award: $9,500 per year for four years

University Award: $4,500 per year for four years

The Honors College provides the opportunity for incoming (entering) freshman to participate in the most selective academic group at the university.

The application is open once a year and the deadline for the scholarship is January 15 for the following Fall semester. Students are advised to apply for this scholarship together with the application to the university.

Transfer Scholar Leadership Program

Award: $2,000 first year (renewable for second year)

To be eligible for this program a student must:

  • Be transferring from a community college
  • Have at least a 3.25 cumulative college GPA
  • Completed at least 42 hours of college coursework (at least 24 hours completed after high school graduation) and enrolled full-time during the semester of application

Legacy Scholarship Program (Alumni)

Award: 150% of In-State Tuition (automatic)

The Legacy Scholarship program, which began Fall of 2011, allows nonresident children and grandchildren of alumni to attend PSU for 150 percent of the resident tuition. The program is available for full-time undergraduate students enrolling at PSU for the first time and who meet the program criteria.

The duration of the award will be up to eight semester of undergraduate study. Students in the program must maintain a 2.50 GPA in work completed at PSU.

International Advocate Scholarship

Award: $1,000 (renewable)

The International Advocate Scholarship is a service based scholarship. The recipient of this scholarship is required to perform some hours in promoting international programs. This scholarship is NOT available to incoming international students. Only international students who have completed one regular semester at Pittsburg State University with a CGPA 3.25 may apply for this scholarship. Students may download the application form for submission to the International Programs and Services Office.

International Student Ambassador Referral Scholarship

Award: $500 (renewable)

Current PSU international students who are interested in becoming an International Student Ambassador and joining the student referral program, come to the International Programs and Services Office, 118 Whitesitt Hall, for the referral form or email i-admit@pittstate.edu.

German Student “Free-Mover” Scholarship

Award: $1,000 (one-time)

  • Applicant must be nominated by IEC
  • Applicant must currently be attending one of the following German universities:
    • Beuth Hochschule für Technik Berlin
    • TU Bergakademie Freiberg
    • Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg
    • Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Universität Greifswald
    • Europa-Universität Viadrina
  • A maximum of five scholarships per university per semester are awarded.Additional financial support for German students: Studienfoerderung Ausland (Financial Support Program for Studies Abroad)

Malaysian High Achiever Scholarship

Award: $1,000 (renewable)

Malaysian students pursuing any undergraduate major at PSU may apply to receive a tuition waiver of $1,000 per semester. A limit of 2 scholarships per year will be awarded.

Criteria:

  • A minimum of 3.2 CGPA with a significant record of active involvement in extra-curricular activities.
  • Recommendation letter.

Condition for renewal: Recipient may continue to receive the scholarship each semester by maintaining at least a 3.2 GPA each semester. The scholarship recipient is also expected to have active involvement in campus activities at PSU.

Paraguay-Kansas In-State Tuition Waiver

Award: In-State Tuition

The Kansas Paraguay Partnership (KPP) was created in 1968, along with its Paraguayan counterpart, the Comité Paraguay Kansas (CPK). The history of cooperation between the Republic of Paraguay and the State of Kansas fostered by the CPK and KPP make the expansion of cooperative programs between PSU and Paraguay an attractive opportunity for students and faculty.

Students who apply to Pittsburg State University through the Comité Paraguay Kansas, may be eligible for In-State Tuition for undergraduate, graduate and Intensive English Program.

Tsang-Hsun “Andy” Tsai and Ching-Hui “Hannie” Huang Memorial Scholarship

Award: Up to $150

  • Restricted to students from Taiwan

This scholarship is restricted to Asian foreign students with financial need being a determining factor. Two $1,000 scholarships are awarded each year. Apply by February 1st.

P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship

Award: Up to $12,500

The P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Fund is a program which provides scholarships for selected women from other countries for graduate study in the United States.

The scholarship is based upon demonstrated need; however, the award is not intended to cover all academic or personal expenses. The maximum amount awarded to a student is $12,500. Lesser amounts may be awarded according to individual needs.

The Eligibility Period runs from September 15-December 15 every year. Applications for students already enrolled in school are due March 1. Those not yet enrolled are due April 1.

Graduate Assistantship

Pittsburg State University offers graduate assistantships in most academic departments and some administrative departments. Assistantships are available as teaching, administrative and research. Students interested in applying for an assistantship must contact each department they are interested in working for to complete an application.

Resident Assistant

A Resident Assistant (RA) is a personal liaison between the University community and residence hall students. These upperclassmen or graduate students have been carefully selected and trained to coordinate and assist a floor or a wing of a residence hall. They are an excellent source of information regarding both personal and collegiate matters. The RAs are responsible for creating a floor community, providing a variety of social and developmental programming, and enforcing policies and procedures.

Music Scholarships

Qualified students may audition for scholarships on all wind, brass, percussion, woodwind, string and keyboard instruments, and voice. Appli­cants for music scholarships should contact the chair­person of the Depart­ment of Music.

Band Stipends: Members of the “Pride of the Plains” Marching Band and Basketball Pep Bands receive Band Stipend Awards for their participation. Those interested should contact the director of the Pride of the Plains Marching Band.

Bralirwa is looking for a qualified, dedicated & experienced individual to fill the position of Internal & External Communications Manager located in Kigali, Rwanda reporting to the Corporate Affairs & Communications Manager.

JOB PURPOSE:

  • Develop and implement Annual Communication plan in order to reinforce company values
  • Maintain connection with Bralirwa and employees to ensure a high level of employees’motivation and an equally high level performance and commitment
  • Understand the role, diversity, acceptance, power of news media in society and their own goals and audiencees in order to create news content and generate positive coverage

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employee Engagement

  • Implement the internal company strategy, together with other departments in order to drive employees’ engagement
  • Offer full support and advising on internal communication matters to other departments (HR, Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales etc.)
  • Coordinate and support actively internal events (New year, QUM, Family Day, Genocide Commemoration, Official visits, other occasional events, Special drinks, etc.)
  • Support change management and manage all communication channels
  • Establish and develop quarterly Newsletters
  • Implement the employee engagement programs : i.e. Cool @ Work, alcohol policy, Business conduct, support the community, drive ambassadorship initiatives, etc.
  • Choose the right media, messenger, tone of voice and delivery and developing relevant tools
  • Responsible for developing and monitoring internal communication platforms, including writing/editing the articles for workplace news  and to evaluate the channels on a regular basis as required.
  • Read and analyze submissions or letters, and provide relevant feedback after aligning with the Head of Corporate Affairs and Communication Manager.

Media Management

  • Build relationships with media. Create and drive a proactive and transparent media plan
  • Ensure and coordinate the preparation of activities in connection with the company’s external communication (Press conferences, Press releases, etc.)
  • Provide a press review on sensitive issues for Management and General Management
  • Work closely with the Agency managing the Corporate Media acounts in answering all complaints posted on different channels
  • Play the advisory role to Marketing on Media by reviewing all press releases and other editions that are meant to be published with Media
  • Track and evaluate all press coverage
  • Ensure that business is prepared for crisis in terms of procedures and awareness. Lead communication, mobilize busines and advise management during a crisis

Brand PR

  • Develop and execute Brand PR strategies and plan, in conjunction with commercial management, to maximise and enhance brand strategy through non-paid for media. Build network in key lifestyle and news media
  • Create and embedd a clear PR strategy that builds equity and relevance for brands.
  • Create PR assets such as imagery, footage, quotes, facts & figures to include them into Brand PR strategies and plans
  • Translate data into a compelling story




QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications studies, Public Relations or related studies
  • At least 4 years’ experience in Communication profession
  • Fluent in English, French and Kinyarwanda (written and spoken)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent in editing and proofreading skills
  • Good understanding of digital technologies used in internal and external communications
