  • Apply online: Early Application Academic Year 2021-2022 The GUGC Early Application is open for students currently in the last year of high school of the Korean curriculum.
  • Online Aptitude Test

    The GUGC application procedure includes an Online Aptitude Test. The test reflects the minimum level of knowledge a freshmen needs to cope with the educational programs at GUGC. The aptitude test gives the admissions office of GUGC an idea of the academic level of applicants. The aptitude test also provides an applicant with an indication of his/her own academic level.

    The Aptitude Test comprises 20 questions in English about Mathematics and Chemistry. The time limit to take the test is two hours. You can download a sample test and the list of topics covered in the test. This topic list is indicative. Even if you have not covered all these topics in your studies, you may still be able to pass the aptitude test and receive an admission offer. It is possible to take the test multiple times. With your application, you submit your best score. Each trial costs $50. There is no other application fee.

    It is important to understand that if an applicant receives a sufficient score by cheating, the applicant will have difficulties in coping with the program once enrolled

HUAYU Enrichment Scholarship (HES) to Study in Taiwan (Fully Funded)

The 2021 Huayu Enrichment Scholarship is now open for application. We welcome all eligible students who are interested in learning Mandarin Chinese in Taiwan to apply. The deadline for HES application is March 31st, 2021. Please see below to learn more about the application guidelines.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Taiwan is still maintaining border control and foreigners, including language students and exchange students have not been given permission to enter Taiwan at this point. Please note that the timeline of studying in Taiwan of 2021 HES and Taiwan Scholarship recipients will follow the Taiwan border control regulations and will be subject to change.

The Ministry of Education’s Huayu Enrichment Scholarships support international students pursuing Huayu (Mandarin Chinese) courses in Taiwan, both to enhance their language skills while fostering their understanding of Taiwanese culture and society, and to promote mutual understanding between Taiwan and the international community.

Recipients will receive a 25,000 New Taiwan Dollar (NTD) monthly stipend for each month of their scholarship award period. Students can apply for the following award periods, corresponding to their planned duration of study in Taiwan:

  • 2 months (for summer courses during summer 2021)
  • 3 months
  • 6 months
  • 9 months

Most Mandarin Language Centers in Taiwan offer intensive 2 month summer courses. Students who wish to undertake these courses during Summer 2021 can apply for a 2 month HES scholarship.

Students who wish to undertake courses during the academic year between Sep 1, 2021 and Aug 31, 2022 should apply for a 3 month, 6 month, or 9 month scholarship corresponding to the duration of your planned course of study in Taiwan.

Government of the Slovak Republic Scholarships for International Students (Fully Funded)

The Government of the Slovak Republic approved the establishment of the National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic for the support of mobility of students, PhD students, university teachers, researchers and artists in 2005. The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic (NSP) is funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.

The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic supports mobility of international students, PhD students, university teachers, researchers and artists for scholarship stays at higher education institutions and research organisations in Slovakia.

1. Eligible applicants

Eligible applicants for a scholarship in the framework of the NSP:

A) students who:

  • are university students at universities outside Slovakia;
  • are students of the second level of higher education (master’s students), or are students who at the time of application deadline have already completed at least 2.5 years of their university studies in the same study programme;
  • will be on a study stay in Slovakia during their higher education outside Slovakia and who will be accepted by a public, private or state university in Slovakia for an academic mobility1 to study in Slovakia.

All 3 conditions must be met. This category does not apply to doctoral (PhD) studies (or their equivalent).

  • Duration of a scholarship stay (students): 1 – 2 full semesters (i.e. 4 – 5 or 9 – 10 months) or full 1 – 3 trimesters, in case the academic year is divided into trimesters (i.e. 3 – 4 or 6 – 7 or 9 – 10 months).

B) PhD students whose higher education or scientific training takes place outside Slovakia and who are accepted by a public, private or state university or a research institution in Slovakia eligible to carry out a doctoral study programme2 (e.g. the Slovak Academy of Sciences) for an academic mobility1 to study/conduct research/artistic stay in Slovakia.

  • Duration of a scholarship stay (PhD students): 1 – 10 months.

C) international university teachers, researchers and artists who are invited to a teaching/research/artistic stay in Slovakia by an institution with a valid certificate of eligibility to carry out research and development, which is not a business company3 and it has its seat in Slovakia.

  • Duration of a scholarship stay (university teachers, researchers or artists): 1 – 10 months.

Citizens of any country in the world (except the citizens of Slovakia) can apply for a scholarship stay in Slovakia in the framework of the NSP.

The National Scholarship Programme does not support:

  • international students and PhD students accepted for full degree higher education (bachelor, master, doctoral studies) in Slovakia, or those already studying in Slovakia (full degree higher education) who would like to fund their studies in Slovakia by the NSP;
  • university teachers, researchers and artists without PhD degree (or its equivalent) and at the same time with more than 4 years of work experience as a university teacher/researcher/artist (PhD studies are considered as work experience) on the indicated application deadline; however, the scholarship programme administrator may, after consulting the selection committee in individual cases worth special consideration (especially considering situations caused by force majeure4), accept as eligible applicants also candidates without PhD degree (or its equivalent) and at the same time with more than 4 years of work experience but not more than 7 years of work experience, however such applicants may be awarded a scholarship only in  the amount corresponding to applicants without PhD degree (or its equivalent) and with less than 4 years of experience;
  • international applicants who within the period of 36 months prior to the application deadline have spent in the territory of the Slovak Republic 15 or more months (in total);
  • international applicants who are receiving a scholarship in Slovakia in the framework of other scholarship programmes funded from public resources (e.g. International Visegrad Fund, Erasmus+, CEEPUS, bilateral agreements, etc.).

[4] E.g. the previous stay was affected by the pandemic, terrorist attack, etc..; career breaks due to the applicant’s maternity / parental leave may also be considered.

In case of repeated scholarship award, the following rule applies: If the applicant has already been receiving a scholarship in the framework of the NSP for 5 or more scholarship months (in total) on the day of the respective application deadline, he/she can be awarded the next scholarship only after 3 years from the completion of his/her last scholarship stay in the framework of the NSP; this condition does exceptionally not apply to application deadlines after March 2020 due to the worldwide spread of the Covid-19 disease – the scholarship programme administrator may decide to terminate this exception, taking into account the recent statement of the World Health Organization (WHO), but not later than on the day of opening the call for applications related to the specific call  deadline.

2. Scholarship stay and use of the scholarship

The scholarship is intended to cover international scholarship holders’ living costs, i.e. the costs related to staying in Slovakia (food, accommodation, etc.), during their study, research/artistic or teaching stay at universities and in research organisations in Slovakia. The scholarship holder can ask for assistance concerning accommodation and formalities related to entering and staying in the territory of the Slovak Republic either his/her host institution, or he/she can handle all the necessities him-/herself.

 3. Amount of the monthly scholarship

a) university student of the second level of higher education 400 €
b) PhD student 734 €
c) university teacher/researcher/artist:
without PhD degree (or its equivalent) and at the same time less than 4 years of work experience as a university teacher/researcher/artist 734 €
with PhD degree (or its equivalent) and at the same time less than 10 years of work experience as a university teacher/researcher/artist 980 €
with PhD degree (or its equivalent) and at the same time more than 10 years of work experience as a university teacher/researcher/artist 1 050 €

Note:

  • To determine the monthly scholarship amount (in case of university teachers, researchers and artists) with regard to their work experience, only work experience until the day of the application deadline is taken into consideration.
  • PhD studies are considered as work experience, however, up to a maximum of 6 years.

Scholarship holders whose scholarship stay in Slovakia lasts longer than 90 days and who are citizens of countries outside the European Union, European Economic Area and Switzerland are obliged to submit to the foreign police office a confirmation that they do not suffer from any disease threatening public health within 30 days from being awarded the temporary residence. Scholarship holders will be reimbursed the costs related to medical examination and issuing of this confirmation, up to 250 € per scholarship holder, after delivering original of the bill issued by the respective medical institution to SAIA, n. o., in Bratislava. A list of competent medical institutions will be provided to scholarship holders by the respective foreign police offices in Slovakia. Scholarship holders are obliged to deliver the bill to SAIA, n. o., in Bratislava within the deadline for submitting the final report; otherwise, they will lose their right for the reimbursement of the costs.

In addition, students and PhD students [eligible applicants under the category A) and B)] can be awarded a travel allowance, (travel grant), if they apply for it along with their scholarship application. Travel allowance is awarded as a lump sum and it will be paid to the scholarship holder at the end of his/her stay together with the last scholarship payment. Travel allowance amount depends on the distance (in a direct line) between applicant’s place of residence and the place of his/her stay in Slovakia5:

  • distance up to 350 km – 0 €,
  • distance more than 350 km, max. 2,000 km – 250 €,
  • distance more than 2,000 km, max. 7,000 km – 500 ,
  • distance more than 7,000 km – 1 000 €.

Note: International applicants who need visa in order to enter the territory of the Slovak Republic are recommended to take into consideration time necessary for visa application procedure when determining the date of the beginning of their potential scholarship stay (up-to-date information about visa application procedure is provided by the Embassies of the Slovak Republic abroad). Further, scholarship holders who are citizens of countries outside the European Union, European Economic Area and Switzerland and whose scholarship stay in Slovakia lasts longer than 90 days are recommended to take into consideration the time necessary for temporary residence permit application procedure when determining the date of the beginning of their potential scholarship stay.

Job Description:  Rwanda Warehouse Manager

Sokowatch is searching for a stellar warehouse manager to be based in Kigali. They will undertake all aspects of warehouse manager for Sokowatch in Rwanda. The primary goal of this position is to monitor report and optimize inventory controls in Rwanda.

Responsibilities,

  • Responsible for the supervision and management of all warehouse operations in Rwanda including staff.
  • Responsible for the development and compliance of agreed-upon warehouse standard operating procedures across all warehouse functions (eg. loading, stock reconciliation, cash reconciliation, storage, stock counts).
  • Spearhead all inventory cycle counts, analyze variances and fully investigate and report on stock variances i.e expected versus actual / physical.

About the Role

Call center operators are integral parts of TUBURA’s continued commitment to providing all of our clients with great customer service, ensuring proper communication between TUBURA and clients. As a call center operator, you will be the voice of One Acre Fund’s clients. You will take care of incoming customer calls and also conduct outbound surveys. acting like a bridge connecting the organization to its clients.

Responsibilities

Hotline Inbound (Incoming calls)

  • Your main role involves receiving client phone calls and recording them in the hotline database -Zendesk (perform ticketing of the calls). You will actively learn about the program through meetings and field visits in order to be able to answer most client concerns.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respectful communication to all clients calling the Hotline.
  • Respond to various client concerns, i.e. distribution quantities, quality, and varieties; prepayment and repayment; documentation (IDS, Invoices, etc.); questions about Tubura program, and many more program-related queries.
  • Correspond and work together with other teams to resolve each unique client issue.
  • Clearly communicate any system changes related to inputs, repayment, or other to the clients

Outgoing Call Function

  • You will be responsible for making outgoing calls to current TUBURA clients in order to conduct short surveys and identify outstanding client protection issues.
  • For each outgoing call, you will be responsible for recording all relevant data, including categorical and qualitative responses to survey questions.
  • You will be responsible for escalating any urgent client protection issues to the Customer Engagement Call Center Coordinator.
  • Occasionally you will be required to inform clients about how their claims have been solved.

Data quality

  • You’ll be responsible for collecting high-quality data and updating them in the appropriate databases per team’s policy.
    Correct any error that may be in the data and Flag it to the team’s coordinator

Small projects

  • The Call Center Team will be responsible for occasional small non-repeated incoming/outgoing call projects. You will include these small projects in your monthly schedule as appropriate, and effectively manage your time between these projects and your primary responsibilities.

The Campus Merit Scholarship is awarded in recognition of outstanding academic achievement. Monetary Awards Scholars are eligible to receive $2,000 per year for a maximum of four years for freshman or two years for transfers.   1. Introduction

Dukunde Kawa is a registered coffee growers’ cooperative with 1193 members located in Baliza Village, Ruli cell, Ruli Sector, Gakenke District of Northern Province with registration number RCA/0604/2016. The vision of the Cooperative is being a leader in producing, processing, and marketing the high-quality coffee for selling it on the local and international market.  It is on this background that t the cooperative has built a modern processing unit that will be used for coffee Roasting, producing Coffee Beans Powder and Soluble Coffee commonly known as “instant coffee”. To achieve this milestone, Dukunde Kawa cooperative is recruiting a coffee roaster and hereby invites qualified and experienced candidates to apply for this position.

  1. Roles and responsibilities of the coffee Roaster

Under the overall supervision of the Cooperative Manager, the Coffee Roaster will specifically have the following tasks:

  • Evaluate green coffee samples and production roasts with production manager through cupping
  • Roast and blend coffees to develop profiles that highlight the best attributes for each coffee, tailored to meet our clients’ preferences.
  • Executes effective inventory management relating to both green and roasted coffee.
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Assist in market outreach and coffee profiling.
  • Carry-out any other task assigned by his/her supervisor, relevant to this position.
  1. Qualifications of the Coffee Roaster

The interested people must fulfil the following

  • Must be of Rwandan nationality
  • Must be of 20 to 40 years old
  • Must be a bachelor degree holder (A0) from a recognized University in food science, Agronomy, or related sciences
  • Experience with and knowledge of SCA cupping protocols.
  • Possess at least two years of proven experience in roasting green coffee samples, evaluating for quality, and assisting in purchase decisions
  • Must be trustworthy and must be commitment to work for the interest of the cooperative.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision, time to time under pressure
  • Fluency in spoken and written Kinyarwanda and English, knowledge of French will be an added advantage.
  • Must be computer literate in Word and Excel programs
  • Should not have been involved in any criminal offences and in prison for more than 6 months, must be ready to live at the place of work i.e. at Ruli Sector, Gakenke District.
  • Must be available for contract negotiation and signing no later than 15 days after the notification
