Job Description
. Assign specific tasks to the biotechnologists in the Lab section
2. Coordinate and implement routine and research lab activities
3. Validate test results and implement Lab Quality Control programs
4. Supervise and train lab personnel on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs)
5. Take periodic inventory of reagent stocks and lab consumables for the Lab section
6. Follow-up on scheduled equipment maintenance, service and repairs.
7. Prepare and update SOPs of all DNA and RNA PCR Techniques used in Molecular Laboratory.
8. Carry out any other related duties as may be assigned by the Head of Unit ( Meetings, Letter writing and workshops
Together with Lab Network Unit participate in the installation of medical laboratory equipment at District hospitals and health centres all over the country.
