WE-ACTx For Hope is a local NGO legally registered by Rwanda Governance Board; WE-ACTx For Hope then signed a memo of understanding with the Ministry of Health for running the medical clinic in partnership with WE-ACTx US.
WE-ACTx for HOPE was granted a legal status by a Ministerial order No. 106/11 of 11/08/2008.
WE-ACTx For Hope is looking for well dedicated and self-motivated highly qualified Rwandan nationals to occupy a Medical Doctor Position
Key responsibilities:
Under the supervision of WE-ACTX For Hope Clinical Director
- Being responsible for all direct clinical care at We-Actx For Hope clinic
- Supervision of the work of the clinical team at We-Actx For Hope clinic
- Active monitoring of the quality care at We-Actx For Hope clinic
- Plan and facilitate discussion of HIV/AIDS cases with clinical staff at We-Actx For Hope
- In collaboration with the decentralization clinical team, develop a presenting plan for clinical site support at Centre ville
- Plan and conduct a mentorship ARV consultation with Medical doctors with focus on complicated cases once a week in We-Actx For Hope Clinic
- Work closely with Pediatrics adherence and linkage teams to enhance care and treatment of exposed infants at We-Actx For Hope
- Collaborate with the nurses in charge of the clinics to conduct in service theoretical and practical training in medicine and pediatric regarding ART and Opportunistic Infection management for nurses
- Promote TB-HIV integration by health providers at the clinic
- Work to improve referral systems including facilitation of the patient’s transport for chest X-ray and other second line investigations as indicated by the clinical parameters.
- Assure mentorship nurses regarding delivery of ARV and TB at the Clinic
- Improve the management of malnutrition cases in the HIV/AIDS context
- Represents We-Actx for Hope in different meetings with partners
- Work closely with the Director of Clinical Systems to prepare abstracts, concept notes for donors and proposal writing
- Generate monthly, quarterly and annual reports for all clinical activities
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum requirements:
- Rwanda citizen
- Medical Doctor with 3 years experience
- To be registered in Rwanda Medical Council
- Experience in management of people living with HIV/AIDS
- Demonstrate experience with clinical mentorship/precepting
- Excellent report and abstracts writing skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Kinyarwanda, French and English
- Good communication skills and ability to develop and maintain good relationship with colleagues and partners including beneficiaries
- Strong sense of independence initiative
- Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet
