To support the young talent and motivate them towards their higher education, McMaster University is offering a chance to apply for its Automatic Entrance Scholarships. International students willing to study bachelor’s degree in Canada will be applicable to apply for the fund.

McMaster University initiated these grants in order to provide the adequate support the students need to accomplish their high-cost educational degree. The scholarship funds will assist the recipients in covering up their tuition, fees, & books.

It operates six academic faculties: the DeGroote School of BusinessEngineering, Health Science, Humanities, Social Science, and Science. It is also a member of the U15, a group of research-intensive universities in Canada. McMaster University has over 27,000 undergraduate and over 4,000 post-graduate students.

Eligibility Criteria

To be acceptable for the scholarship, the applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • The candidate must be an international and domestic student.
  • Open to incoming high school students entering Level 1 of their first baccalaureate degree program
  • The achievement of a final admission average in the top 10% of student’s Faculty.
  • This award does not require an application
  • Entrance awards are monetary awards given to incoming students based on academic merit and, in some cases, other forms of earned merit (community involvement, leadership, etc.).

How to Apply for the Scholarship

Candidates must take the following steps to apply for these scholarships:

Step 1: Apply for Admission

You must submit an AwardSpring application to be considered for an entrance award by application. Use the Barcode and Student (Person) ID Number from your Acknowledgement letter to activate your MACID. After applying on OUAC and logging into Mosaic for the first time, it may take a few business days for your profile to connect to AwardSring.

Entry Requirements

  • Fellow must meet the general country or study curriculum entry requirement.
  • Student must demonstrate English language skills and meet the general admission criteria following the country or curriculum you studied.
  • 5 Grade 12/Senior academic subjects or a combination of equivalents from IB, AP, SAT II Subject Tests
  • Grade 12 English/English Literature required for all programs
  • Applicants completing AP or IB final results may be eligible for advanced credit at the Faculty’s discretion.

Visa Requirements

If your situation necessitates a study permit, you must apply for one and have it approved before beginning your studies in Canada. If this is the case, you already have a study permit. You do not need to change or apply for a new licence if your passport is still valid. If your study permit is about to expire, you must use to renew it.
