Job Description

– Configure and customize the LIS to meet the laboratory’s specific needs.
– Maintain user accounts, security settings, and access controls within the LIS.
– Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the LIS.
– Collaborate with laboratory staff to gather system requirements and implement changes.
– Stay updated on LIS software updates and patches, and apply them as needed.
– Provide user training and support for LIS functionality.
– Utilize the LIS to enter and manage sample data, test results, and laboratory records.
– Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the LIS.
– Collaborate with the Laboratory sections to identify system issues and improvements.
– Train and assist colleagues in using the LIS for data entry and retrieval.
– Generate reports and analyze data within the LIS as required.
– Follow laboratory protocols and quality control procedures when using the LIS.
– Cleanse and validate data to ensure accuracy during the migration process.
– Develop and document data migration strategies and procedures.
– Collaborate with laboratory staff to understand data requirements and mapping.
– Perform data reconciliation and verification after migration.
– Troubleshoot and address data migration issues as they arise.
– Install and configure LIS software, databases, and hardware components.
– Ensure the LIS integrates seamlessly with other laboratory instruments and systems.
– Provide technical support and resolve software or hardware issues related to the LIS.
– Monitor system backups and disaster recovery processes
– Develop training materials and documentation for LIS users.
– Organize and conduct training sessions for laboratory staff on LIS functionality.
– Assess user training needs and provide ongoing support and guidance.
– Create user guides and tutorials to assist with LIS utilization.
– Gather feedback from users and make improvements to training programs.




Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science

    5 Years of relevant experience
