Mount Kenya University (MKU) is a chartered and ISO 9001:2015 certified University committed to a broad-based, holistic and inclusive system of Education. MKU is seeking to appoint an Academic Registrar, full-time Lecturers and assistant lecturers at its campus in Rwanda in the School of Business and Economics, Department of Public Health, School of Hospitality and Tourism, School of Education, Laboratory technician and the librarian. The incumbent will report to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics & Research Affairs (DVC-ARA). The lecturers will teach, undertake research in their respective fields, supervise postgraduate students as well as engage with industry and community.
Minimum Requirements:
Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor academics, the ideal candidate must posses a Masters degree in Library Science with over 3 years experience. H/She will be responsible for:
• Introduction, monitoring, review and evaluation of all systems and procedures associated with the library;
• Creating, updating and managing on-line information resources;
• The day to day running of the library;
• Assisting students in the use of the library;
• Liaise regularly with academic staff to ascertain course requirements;
• Creating support materials for student;
• Supporting the University’s policy which promotes the inclusion of students
with learning difficulties and disabilities across the campus;
• Researching and implementing new information management techniques
• Any other duties of a comparable nature as required
