Job Description
– Responsible for the national quantification and forecasting of laboratory equipment, diagnostic tools, reagents and lab consumables; as such he will be the NRL focal point for the CPDS process, this also includes being responsible for the management of UNITAID donations to Rwanda.
– Reports every week on work load problems at NRL to ensure a rapid turn-around of tests for client sites.
– Reports on possible or predictable reagents’ stock out and coordinate with NRL and MPDD staff’s to solve any problem on results’ deliver time.
– Addresses system issues as they arise with a view to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the national laboratory network.
– Support where necessary training efforts related to the laboratory system with a view to building the decentralized system.
– Reports regularly on work progress, on the national laboratory system situation
In collaboration with all unit in the NRL :
– The laboratory system coordinator will provides technical expertise in laboratory supply-chain systems of Rwanda, with a particular focus on quantification and forecasting
– provides guidance to the logistics manager based in MPDD
– works closely with CHI and other partners of the NRL to ensure coordination and mutual support.
