PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The protection and empowerment officer will be responsible for coordinating and supporting prevention and response activities and economic empowerment activities in refugee camps and urban center.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the implementation of life skills related activities in the camp in compliance of Alight policies and based on the approved work plan.
Identify client groups to begin the grant application process and conduct the pre-grant interviews/selection.
Design, monitor and implement weekly work plans to insure achievement of program results and performance.
Build the capacities of refugees in business, management and entrepreneurship related skills to improve resilience and self-reliance.
In collaboration with the program unit, carry out market surveys, feasibility studies, needs assessment and other data collection activities related to the livelihood sector to support appropriate monitoring and evaluation of all activities;
Collaborate with all sectors to identify and mobilize beneficiaries among the targeted vulnerable groups in the camp.
Ensure that the identified groups that do not qualify for grant are at least involved in other livelihood programs i.e. cash for work, etc.
Carry out sensitization and mobilization meetings with the refugee population towards the importance of their participation in livelihoods activities.
Collaborate with the Site Manager to identify and oversee the annual budget for all livelihood activities in the camp;
Ensure business owners have access to a variety of financial service available in the camps including savings in VSLA.
Design, monitor and implement weekly work plans to insure achievement of program results and performance;
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor, or any other Alight Senior Manager.
EDUCATION, TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Demonstrated commitment to helping others.
Local language abilities; knowledge of English added advantage
University degree or equivalent in Social Science, Social Work, Development studies, Project management, Business Administration or related fields
Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience with refugees and other
vulnerable populations.
Work experience in Gender and Gender Based violence and Child Protection as well.
Work experience with vulnerable groups in implementing community service projects.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Prior experience working with refugees and other vulnerable populations.
Working experience in a similar role and experience in working with bilateral organizations or INGOs

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Reporting to Impact and Learning (MEL) Coordinator, the Kuja Kuja Team Leader is responsible for coordinating customer data collection activities, organizing and facilitating bridge building activities between service providers and data collectors; analyzing, interpreting and reporting data regularly. With assistance of the Coordinator, Site Manager and Head of Programmes, the Kuja Kuja Team Leader will support the field site project to improve quality by providing reliable field information on the quality of services delivery for coordination and management decision making. It is also the duty of the Kuja Kuja team leader to manage the data collectors from his/her site. He/She will be responsible for teaching and mentoring his/her teammates.
The Kuja Kuja Team Leader’s primary duties and responsibilities are distributed as the following:
Perform customer responses collection 40%

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Customer Responses:
Collect/share daily customer feedback 3 days a week

In collaboration with data collectors, prepare and share the daily updates for the feedback collected
Team Management/Mentor:

Teach and train team members on various good ways of approaching customers while collecting feedback
Manage team supplies and equipment with their distribution when needed
Creation of staff welfare
Create teamwork spirit within MEAL team members
Support the data collectors team members in case of any support needed
Be responsible for the different routine office works to support team getting all the required stationaries and IT tools for data collection
Ensure that Snap boards are updated appropriately and visualized in the most suitable places
Monitor and ensure consistency of translated ideas across all snap board monitors if the team has picked the right service points to collect feedback from
Perform any other duty/responsibility assigned by your supervisor.
Data analysis/interpretation and reporting:
Perform daily quality data control for the responses submitted into the MEL system/Kuja Kuja website for future clean data
Share with teammates on a weekly basis the observations from the data checks
Ensure the necessary support is offered to the team members to make sure they improve on providing data with high quality
Work with the service providers to make sure they understand clearly the ideas shared
Reinforcing Bridge activities:

Take care of any Trigger issue occurred and converse it with concerned service provider or his/her supervisor.
Provide additional clarification or information needed to any of the channels used for data sharing
Support the team to educate customers on the importance of providing their opinions.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Advanced Diploma or Degree/equivalent;
Previous experience in MEAL services with humanitarian agencies;
Work Experience: Minimum of 2-year previous experience, having demonstrated very good in reporting writing, data management skills, with emphasis on project monitoring, evaluation and learning;

Take notes of the observations from the data checks and improve accordingly
In collaboration with your supervisor, help the services providers to understand clearly the ideas shared through the Kuja Kuja dashboard

It is also the duty of the Impact and Learning Officer to manage the field site complaints response mechanism, produce statistics and ensuring that the Alight programming is that of Accountability.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Perform data collection through field visits and phone interviews with beneficiaries and communities through satisfaction survey, focus group discussions (FGDs), and key informants interview (KII). FGDs and KIIs with various stakeholders.
Review and clean of data (as required)
Conduct qualitative and quantitative field monitoring and verification of project implementation
Together with the Project staff and with the support of the Impact and Learning (MEL) Coordinator, undertake accountability activities including the development and use of information sharing materials and the establishment of complaint response mechanisms. This may include ensuring that complaints are logged and addressed in a professional and timely manner and that serious complaints relating to abuse, exploitation and corruption are referred appropriately
Ensure that the assigned data collection areas/ beneficiaries are covered within the timeline.
Perform Post Distribution Monitoring.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Based at Site level. Nurse is responsible for providing hands-on care to patients by administering medications, observing and monitoring patients’ conditions, maintaining records and communicating with doctors.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Interview patients to obtain information that will guide diagnosis with though physical examination of the patient while in consultation
Write all lab exams and findings in patient file and in register book
Prescribe treatment for the patient consulted with extra attention on doses and side effects
Make decision on which patient can be referred to medical doctor
Make sure the consultation activities start by the scheduled time and finish when the last patient is consulted
Perform PIT when it is necessary, and report all HIV-positive cases to HIV Program
Ensure FP is fully integrated in consultation
Maintain medical materials and equipment
Coordinate with other health staff on self-assessment of clinical skills and challenge
Perform recordkeeping procedures when registering patients according to health center protocols
Follow up on patients that he/she has consulted and hospitalized.

Analytical and organizational skills/experience with health data
Demonstrated knowledge of Health Information Systems, Nutrition protocols, HIV protocols, and Primary and Reproductive Health Care concepts, including Rwandan Ministry of Health protocols and guidelines

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Driver will technically support the implementation of programs in accordance with ALIGHT Rwanda annual work plan and as per administrative/transportation regulations and standard operating procedures. He/she will be responsible for transporting program, administrative and refugee staff by vehicle with ALIGHT areas of operation.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive office vehicles for the transportation of ALIGHT staff and visitors with other authorized personnel
Transport ALIGHT goods to their destination in a safe, responsible and timely manner
Collection and delivery of mail, documents and other courier items in a safe, responsible and timely manner
Ensure that all assignments and trips are authorized, embarked on and completed on time, with all travel and delivery requirements as per the office standards
Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicles including checking the oil, water, battery, brakes, tires etc. and log them in the start-of-the-day checklist
Perform minor repairs and/or arrange for other repairs by logging and urgently reporting to the supervisor
Ensure that vehicles are driven safely, optimizing engines use, economizing fuel as well as minimizing wear and tear
Report all vehicle maintenance problems, incidents, accidents and damage using official forms immediately to the supervisor
Guard vehicle against theft and vandals and ensure that vehicles are locked and parked in the officially assigned locations
Ensure that the steps required by ALIGHT rules and regulations are taken into consideration in case of involvement in an incident or accident or damage to the vehicle
Appropriately log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing etc. using the official ALIGHT/UNHCR log books
Submit assigned vehicle performance and activities accounted for at the end of every week to the supervisor
Maintain vehicle safety standards as per the ALIGHT driver’s guidelines at all times
Ensure full accountability for time, assignments and activities on a weekly basis to the supervisor
Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle at all times
Respect the speed limits and obey all other Rwanda traffic laws when driving ALIGHT vehicles
Be available to work longer hours, after hours and weekends, and when necessary or in an emergency
Assist in loading and unloading of vehicles when necessary
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor, or any other ALIGHT Senior Manager.
EDUCATION, TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
High school diploma
Valid Rwanda driver’s license Level B&D
Demonstrated understanding of transportation law
Excellent driving skills with minimum 5 years’ experience as driving with good driving record
Experience in driving through the remote parts of the country
Good judgment in traffic and knowledge of traffic patterns
Good knowledge about car mechanics
Good knowledge of refugee camps and the surrounding Districts
Good in communication in English; local language skills preferable
Holder of qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs desired

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Medical Doctor will be responsible for delivery of quality health services including consultations, diagnosis and treatment of clients in accordance to the MoH protocols. He/she will be responsible to provide technical assistance and build the capacity of the health facility staff to improve the quality health service delivery
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans and provides primary health care services to beneficiaries, including consultations, diagnosis, writing prescriptions, care plans, and minor surgery
Technically supports health activities including curative, preventive, and community health
Ensures health facilities adhere to national and international health standards, specifically from the Ministry of Health and WHO, supported by the Health Coordinator
Oversee the management of non-communicable diseases
Collaborate with Head Nurse, HIV/AIDS Coordinator, and Nutrition Coordinator for planning and implementing primary health services
Provides technical support for health education activities in the clinic and during outreach sessions
Collaborates with Health Coordinator and other coordinators in developing standards and procedures for the Medical Staff and in monitoring the continuity of Medical activities
Maintains standards of confidentiality and patient privacy in maintaining credential files and the electronic medical database
Promote environmental sanitation activities within the health facilities to minimize environmental health hazards
Provide technical support to Nurses and Lab Technicians through regular meetings, mentorship, and organizing on the job training for technical health facility staff
Establish strategies for efficient health activities and its application
Participate in reporting and analyzing monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including stock reports on pharmaceuticals and HIS data
Maintains appropriate records in collaboration with the Pharmacist on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis. Regularly follows up the clinic requirement of all drugs, medical and non-medical supplies
Supervise immunization and other clinic sessions organized at the health center
Assist Midwives during antenatal, delivery, postnatal care and family planning services
Diagnose, treat and prescribe drugs using MoH treatment guidelines and common childhood illnesses using IMCI protocols
Assess children with severe malnutrition with specification and refer accordingly
Treatment and early referral of medical, surgical and obstetric emergencies
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor, or any other ALIGHT Senior Manager
EDUCATION, TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Medical Doctor from a recognized university with full registration and current practicing license with relevant professional body (Rwanda Medical Council)
A minimum of 2 years) clinical working experience in Rwanda health system
Experience in capacity building of health staff with good leadership qualities
Commitment to the goals and values of ALIGHT
Analytical and organizational skills/experience with health data
Demonstrated knowledge of Health Information Systems, Nutrition protocols, HIV protocols, and Primary and Reproductive Health Care concepts, including Rwandan Ministry of Health protocols and guidelines
Strong report writing skills with proven organizational/multitasking skills.
Oral/writing skills in Kinyarwanda, English, and French.
Must have cross-cultural and strong interpersonal skills to work with refugees and vulnerable persons.
