1. Warehouse Operations Supervisors ( 2 Positions)

BRALIRWA Plc is looking for two qualified, dedicated & experienced Warehouse Operations Supervisors at Job Grade 09 based in Gisenyi, reporting to the Brewery Warehouse Manager

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety

  • Act in accordance with the Heineken safety regulations.
  • Translate the safety regulations into appropriate practical working instructions and regularly assess the warehouse operation to ensure that regulations are respected.
  • Timely Report accidents, incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions and behaviors.
  • Make a safety risk assessment and implement countermeasures to reduce and mitigate risks.
  • Stimulate an open environment where safety is put first, by sharing safety concerns, acting as an example and addressing each other on safety.
  • Demonstrate safe working behaviors when carrying out warehouse operations without compromising efficiency and environmental policies
  • Contribute to sustainability in warehousing by reducing waste and energy consumption. Act as a role model.

Warehouse Planning & Process Execution Management

  • Define the storage space layout to run the warehousing activities and review regularly to align with changing circumstances.
  •  Translate short- and medium-term sales, inventory, and production plans into warehousing resource (staff, space, equipment) requirements.
  • Weekly plan and organize staff shift and resource allocation to warehousing activities. Monitor and control overtime, staff productivity, line stoppages and delays in trucks loading/unloading due to lack of warehousing resources.
  • Monitors daily the resources utilization to spot over and under capacity situations.
  • Ensure continuity of operations in unexpected circumstances to ensure service level requirements are met.
  • Implement, monitor and control 5S in the warehouse.

Goods movement & RPM Handling

  • Regularly assess the execution of goods movement on the shop floor.
  • Ensure right RPM policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Execute and report inbound and outbound production materials movement using existing warehouse systems while adhering to the escalation procedures.
  • Verify the accuracy of data inputs in warehouse digital systems and use TPM methodology to establish long-term solutions on warehouse variances

Inventory management

  • Translate the Traceability, FEFO, and expiry date and freshness policies into practical working instructions.
  • Monitor the organization of regular stock counts.
  • Apply corrective measures based on inventory discrepancies. Approve correction of inventory data in case of discrepancy with physical inventory.

Storage & stock quality assurance/ management

  • Translates the regulations into appropriate practical working instructions.
  • Put measures in place to monitor and report product quality issues in a timely way.

Assets & equipment management

  • Ensure all the warehousing assets and equipment are maintained in good working condition according to the applicable regulations.
  • Anticipate the need for replacement or upgrade of warehousing equipment and assets.
  • Conducts root cause analysis of equipment breakdown.

TPM & Continuous Improvement

  • Follow and report on warehousing daily KPIs in Daily Control System (DCS) meetings and communicate to the team.
  • Show active contribution in Warehouse and Transportation pillar to nurture the company desired TPM culture and to drive warehouse operational excellence.
  • Initiates actions to improve safety, warehousing processes, assets, stock quality and/or inventory management. Improve warehousing operation by using appropriate TPM tools. Ensures improvements are captured in procedures and staff is trained accordingly.

Organization & People management

  • Ensure all PDPs are in place and the performance management cycle is followed.
  • Monitor sick leave and absenteeism.
  • Ensures proper training for the warehousing staff.
  • Hold regular meetings with staff to reinforce awareness, discuss issues and possible solutions and communicate new applicable regulations related to safety, quality, stock & inventory management and use of assets and equipment.
  • Interact with contractors and lead by example in driving safety and productivity optimization in day-to-day warehouse activities.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or any other related field.
  • At least 3 years working experience in the business environment, preferably logistics.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office packages-Word & Excel
  • SAP ECC or other ERP systems. Knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda (both verbally and in writing), and French will be added advantage
  • High understanding of Supply Chain Management with experience in inbound and outbound materials movement, orders processing and distribution.
  • Having strong skills in people management

2. Utilities Technician

BRALIRWA Plc is looking for a qualified, dedicated & experienced Utilities Technician at Job Grade 07 based in Gisenyi, reporting to the Shift Brewer.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Executes/operates utilities in a safe & hygiene way.
  • Makes equipment safe to work on and guard’s safety during work.
  • Executes/operates Utilities work according to required quality specifications.
  • Operates and controls utilities equipment to provide uninterrupted resource supply to production at optimum level of performance.
  • Runs technical support checks and operations, i.e. vibration monitoring, pressure checks, blow downs, lubrication checks, etc.
  • Improves personal AM skills.
  • Executes change overs, clean parts and -tools
  • Identifies anomalies and tags.
  • Manages work permit / installation handover for utilities.
  • Works together with the Utilities Zone Technician and reports to the Utilities Team Leader.
  • Supports and coordinates proper handover between operations and maintenance for all Utilities maintenance jobs + handles/manages all communication and coordination between the execution team and operations during execution of the work
  • Recovers equipment from fault conditions into standard condition
  • Executes 5S supports and CILT.
  • Executes trouble shooting for first 15 minutes and assists (shift) technician.
  • Validates solution for breakdowns.
  • Participates in RCFA (5 why)
  • Validates repairs in Utilities section.
  • Creates work request for maintenance in the CMMS in accordance with master data process and -standards.
  • Creates Utilities breakdown WO’s with the required quality, hence ensuring proper BDA and follow-up for future improvement.
  • Registration of stops.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in electro mechanic or Mechanics.
  •  ≥ 2 years working experience within utilities.
  • Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda (both verbally and in writing), and French will be added advantage.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office packages-Word, Excel & Power Point.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • 5S and good workmanship
  • Basics of TPM and specifically AM.
  • Good technical machine knowledge.
  • Ability to actively support and participate in BDA.
  • Be able to work in multi-cultural, multi-national and multi-lingual organization

  • High level of commitment and working with minimal supervision
