Job Description
Ensure the role of System Administrator for electronic integrated disease surveillance and response system (eIDSR) and collaborate with appropriate entities to upgrade the system;
– Collaborate to elaborate, update and harmonize health facility reporting tools and data analysis books; – Analyze regularly surveillance data to detect timely unusual event, ensure quality of data and provide feedback to concerned people – Communicate timely to appropriate entities any probable outbreak for a quick response – Promote utilization of surveillance data for decision making – Train health facilities on utilisation of electronic surveillance system, data management and data analysis – Ensure supervision of public and private health facilities to strengthen and maintain quality of integrated diseases surveillance and response – Evaluate eIDSR and implement related recommendations to improve quality of surveillance and response system |

Job Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health , Global Health , Epidemiology or Master’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology or Field Epidemiology & Laboratory Training Program (FELTP) Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:
– Knowledge of public health communicable disease surveillance, analyzing data, concise reporting, and surveillance of communicable diseases; – Knowledge of communicable disease surveillance; – Development of measurable objectives, operational plans and measurable indicators/targets for public health programs and project; – Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with donors, implementing partners and other stakeholders; – Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Rwandan Health system; – Planning & Organizational skills; – Research Skills & Writing skills; – Creative, proactive, customer focused, solutions led and outcome driven skills; – Interpersonal skills – Effective communication skills; – Time Management skills; – Computer skills; – Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; knowledge of all is an advantage. |
