HC Solutions Ltd is a Human Resources Management Agency registered in Rwanda. The Company has a team of highly experienced Human Resources professionals, with a rich exposure in various sectors including Banking, Hospitality, Telecom, Logistics, Manufacturing, NGO’s, UN Agencies etc.

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Human Resources Manager.

Role title: Human Resources Manager

Position in the organization 

Reports to: CEO

Purpose of the Job

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for designing the HR strategy, policy, procedures and guidelines that are aligned the business strategic orientation in order to create a working environment in which the organisation has the right people in the right positions to deliver business results.

The HR Manager is also responsible of managing and overseeing the development and implementation of HR strategies and solutions in order to ensure that employees are capable and motivated to deliver the business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the HR policies, procedures and systems relating to performance management, talent management, succession planning, training and development, remuneration, employee relations, governance and HR administration, in line with company business strategic plan
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to the HR policies, procedures and employee code of conduct by all employees
  • Ensure recruitment in line with business requirements and within specified turnaround times and budget.
  • Provide input and strategic direction as part of the Management team, including drafting an HR plan and strategy for the Company
  • Align HR strategy, processes procedures and systems to Company’s strategic plans
  • Plan, organise and supervise the day-to-day HR operations
  • Provide a professional HR consultancy service of high quality and within agreed service levels to address various HR issues
  • Understand the business needs of business partners and their HR needs
  • Coach, advise, influence and train managers on various HR processes
  • Research, appoint and manage various HR suppliers, consultants and recruitment agents as may be required from time-to-time
  • Ensure compliance to all labour legislation and statutory requirements
  • Ensure accurate information is provided to management on all HR Matters
  • Assist with goal formulation, performance measures and performance reviews in line with the Performance Management policy and procedure.
  • Guide managers in developing staff competence, skills, knowledge & capacity
  •  Responsible for developing, sourcing and implementing various training interventions for the development of staff
  • Conduct training need analyses; guide managers to develop training & development plans; ensure training impact analyses and training follow-up completed for the Company.
  • Compile an updated list of key positions and key people, list of successors, list of retention actions for key people and successors.
  • Facilitate talent review discussions
  • Provide input regarding benefits, reward and payroll.
  • Provide specialist inputs/advice and ensure that relevant policies and guidelines are adhered to when conduction remuneration review principles and guidelines
  • Identify and develops leadership competencies in the Company and implement company leadership development initiatives
  • Play a leading and influencing role in coaching business partners on transformation management
  • Provide advice and guidance regarding disciplinary enquiries, appeals, grievances cases
  • Communicating with people regularly

Qualification Requirements:

  • 7+ years of progressive HR professional experience
  • Strong collaborator with effective interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Fluency in English.
