Job Description
– Lead the behaviour and social change communication and Risk communication programmes in Rwanda;
– Develop and execute communication strategies – including writing communication plans and developing key messages;
– Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive evidence and results-based strategic behaviour and social change communication interventions and plans and community mobilization;
– Implementing participatory health communication activities including in Maternal, Neonatal, Sexual and Reproductive Health (MNASRH) in the community;
– Management of the Health Promotion, Social Determinant and Environment Health Technical Working group,
– Lead the development of key messages in different health issues including in MNASRH and the production of communication materials for different health campaigns;
– Overseeing the editorial content and production of all public information materials, public statements and other communication material from the Rwanda health sector;
– Producing high quality advertising and content creation in-house and working with media and advertising agencies.
– Lead the Implementation participatory health communication activities including in MNASRH in the community.
– Ensure that the behaviour change communication needs in all health programs within the Rwanda Biomedical Centre and the Ministry of Health are addressed through close collaboration with relevant sub-groups, technical working groups and task forces;
– Develop media and implement internal strategies for behaviour change communication and Health promotion within the RHCC division.
– Providing detailed weekly plans / reports to the Division Manager detailing the progress and the challenges in the completion of his/her duties.
