 Context of the position:

SOS Children’s Villages Rwanda is an independent, non-governmental social development & child-focused organization. The Organization supports vulnerable children and young people in four locations of Kigali, Gicumbi, Kayonza, and Nyamagabe. SOS Rwanda applies a one program approach in its education, family strengthening, health, and community development programs, that support a holistic approach in the interest of the child. SOS Children’s Villages Rwanda therefore seeks to recruit four (4) staffs: (1 Dean of studies and Discipline, 1 Industry Coordinator, 1 Teacher of Electronic & Electricity, Teacher of Business/Entrepreneurship modules) at SOS Technical School Kigali.




1.    Head Teacher and Discipline Master

The position holder will therefore be responsible in additional teaching for the following tasks:

  • Ensure that pedagogical documents are prepared based on the O level curriculum,
  • Request and avail teaching and learning resources to O Level teachers
  • Monitor the daily pedagogical activities in O Level.
  • Identify O Level teachers ‘development needs
  • Advocate for in-house and external training
  • Organise class visit in O level
  • Check teacher’s documents in O level

The prospective candidates should fulfill the following criteria:

  • Must hold a bachelor degree in Mathematics Education or Physics with Education with at least 5 years as Head teacher,
  • Ability to work independently, self-organise, have initiative, fulfil commitments and meet deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
  • Well-developed facilitation skills, group leadership, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop guidelines and tools, and oversee their implementation.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other M&E database software).
  • A team player who is culturally smart, respectful, and tolerant
  • Preference is given to Rwandan National
