Job Description

Reporting channel: Compliance and Safeguard Program Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
• Advice and support SPIUC and management on gender issues
• Advice on policy and facilitation of knowledge building on gender issues
• Creation of strategic partnerships and support to resource mobilization
• Compilation, analysis and interpretation of gender and gender-based violence (GBV)/family sexual violence (FSV) issues and statistical data, thorough research and preparation of top quality analysis and reports.
• Production and launch of gender reports,
• Contribution to national, regional and inter-agency initiatives related to gender issues,
• Representation of RTDA in different working groups and interagency working groups,
• Facilitates knowledge building and mainstreaming of gender and HIV in related perspectives within RTDA programmes and actively participates in corporate RTDA knowledge creation,
• Provision of policy options and high quality advisory inputs to RTDA programmes and projects to ensure these are responsive to national policies, priorities and strategic plans, and advance development partner’s corporate goals,
• Quarterly reports are regularly prepared on activities, outputs and outcomes. Preparation of donor reports.
• Analysis and research of information on development partners, preparation of substantive briefs on possible areas of cooperation,
• Public and policy advocacy for gender policies, the sustainable development goals, pro-poor and equitable economic growth by participating in relevant forums, conferences and trainings.
• Support to monitoring progress and formulation of strategies towards the achievement of the gender related sustainable development goals and similar national targets;
• Management of events and publications on gender issues.
• Perform any other relevant tasks as assigned by the SPIUC/ RTDA Management




Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Gender Studies

    3 Years of relevant experience

  • Master’s Degree in Gender Studies

    1 Year of relevant experience

  • Master’s Degree in Social Sciences

    1 Year of relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science

    3 Years of relevant experience
