Exciting Career Opportunity at the Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) – Executive Assistant – Chief Technology and Information Officer
Are you an exceptional administrative professional with a passion for technology? We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to support our Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO) in driving our organization’s technology strategy and initiatives.
As an Executive Assistant to the CTIO, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the CTIO, managing their calendar, communications, and engagements. You will also play a key role in monitoring technology trends, compiling reports, and assisting in the development and implementation of new technology initiatives.
Reporting to the Chief Technology and Information Officer, the Executive Assistant to the CTIO will act as the vital link between the Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO) and the rest of the organization. Your core responsibilities will include managing the CTIO’s calendar, communications, and interactions with internal and external stakeholders with utmost professionalism and discretion.

The Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) has the mandate to manage and promote social security in Rwanda. RSSB’s vision is to provide a comprehensive social security system that caters to the diverse social security needs of the population, RSSB plays an important role in realising Vision 2050 and the National Strategy for Transformation (NST1). RSSB manages six social security schemes, namely: Pension, Occupational Hazards, Medical scheme, CBHI, Maternity Leave Benefits and EjoHeza (Long-term Term Saving Scheme).

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the CTO’s primary point of contact and manage all of their external communication.
- Coordinate meetings and appointments, maintain the CTO’s calendar, and help plan events and activities.
- Monitor and analyze daily technology trends and their potential impact on the organization, reporting results to the Chief Technology and Information Officer.
- Compile and update reports on technological developments, maintenance, and updates.
- Assist in developing new technology initiatives and strategies and ensure their successful implementation.
- Coordinate and prioritize the Chief Technology and Information Officer’s meetings and engagements.
- Draft and edit documents, reports, and presentations for the Chief Technology and Information Officer.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all matters pertaining to the Chief Technology and Information Officer, including those of a highly confidential or critical nature.
- Manage the Chief Technology and Information Officer’s calendar, ensuring their time is used effectively and efficiently.
- Manage travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Provide general assistance to visitors.
- Monitor and respond to incoming communications, including emails and phone calls, on behalf of the Chief Technology and Information Officer.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and other events
- Perform any other duties related to IT function as may be assigned from time to time.
Key Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate must have at least:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
Key competencies
Technical Competencies:
- Proven experience as an executive assistant or other relevant administrative support experience.
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software applications
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and information to non-technical audiences.

Additional Information:
The position is based in Kigali, Rwanda and applicants must be willing to relocate outside their countries of domicile.
