Job Description
• Participation in development of policies, strategies and planning related to TB and other respiratory communicable diseases in general and specifically in other Respiratory Communicable Diseases in Rwanda o Participate in development of national strategic plan for TB and other respiratory communicable diseases; o Coordinate the development /updating /distribution of all guidelines, clinical protocol and tools related to other respiratory diseases care and treatment. o Coordinate the development / updating the policies on Other respiratory diseases • Improve diagnosis and management of other Respiratory Communicable Diseases in Rwanda. o Avail an action plan for the ORD Unit in line with the strategic plan for the TB&ORD Division o Ensure case Management and treatment strategies related to other respiratory diseases. o Drugs of Other respiratory diseases are available from the central level to all health facilities. o All equipment related to other respiratory diseases diagnosis and treatment are purchased and distributed to the health facilities according to their respective needs. o Coordinate all partners involved in Other respiratory diseases care and treatment activities; • Ensure proper management of epidemiological data of Other respiratory diseases. o Planning and implementation of the quarterly and annually activities related to other respiratory Diseases and Leprosy; o Coordinate the integration of other respiratory Diseases and Leprosy activities; o Coordinate trainings of health care providers on other respiratory Diseases and Leprosy strategy o Delivers comprehensive evaluation of direct reports complete with development plans followed up by active coaching; ensures that staff under him/her are evaluated and developed o Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor
 Job Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in General Medicine with at least 3 years of relevant working experience in fields related to management of respiratory diseases work or Master’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology,with at least 1 year of relevant working experience in fields related to management of respiratory diseases work. Background in nursing shall constitute and added advantage. Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:
– Development of measurable objectives, operational plans and measurable indicators/targets for community health programs and projects focused on Leprosy;
– Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with donors, implementing partners and other stakeholders;
– Ability to synthesize scientific factors toward strategic decision making;
– Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects;
– Good knowledge of Rwanda Health System;
