Job description
– Answerable to the Operations Division Manager;
– Spearhead the review and development of the strategic plan for provision of medical rehabilitation services to eligible ex-combatants, with specific focus on quality, cost effectiveness and sustainability in line with mainstream national policy on health services and social protection,
– Produce and maintain an action plan for delivery of medical rehabilitation services to eligible ex-combatants, ensuring that such a plan must be aligned with the National Health Policy,
– Monitor the implementation process of assistance to eligible ex-combatants (psychosocial, physiotherapy, prosthesis, orthosis, surgery, treatment of chronically ill),
– Advise management on performance of service providers (SPs),
– Liaise with the Ministry of Health and all Service Providers (hospitals, pharmacies, orthopedic workshops etc.) in provision of effective and efficient services to disabled and chronically ill XCs.
– In liaison with the PM&ES, develop and apply monitoring tools like patient lists, treatment offered and operations performed recording, versus costs,
– Advise Management on all medical issues relating to ex-combatants and service providers.
– Work closely with medical committee in charge of disability Categorization,
– Review periodic reports from Service Providers and advise on matters arising with specific focus on social and economic reintegration of disabled and chronically ill ex-combatants,
– Maintain an up to date database of beneficiaries as well as individual tracking forms,
– Produce and submit daily situation reports, weekly flash reports and monthly progress reports to the supervisor,
– Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
