– Convert national agriculture and animal strategic plans, policies and priorities into operational plans of the District, through DDP and
Plan of action ;
– Conduct a SWOT analysis for the agriculture in the District;
– Produce strategies and mechanism of resources mobilization in agriculture sector for the District;
– Plan and look for financing activities against soil erosion;
– Supervise activities of animal control diseases through vaccination activities organized in Sectors by veterinaries in collaboration with RAB;
– Supervise the preparation and implementation of the District’s agricultural and of the livestock development plan;
– Coordinate the planning and budgeting, activity implementation and activity performance reporting of the Unit and supervise all staff therein;
– Develop project proposals to mobilize additional funding meant for the betterment of District’s agriculture and natural resources practices;
– Seat on the Management Committee and defend the action plan & budget of the unit, as well as update the Management on the activity execution progress prior to their submission
to the Executive Committee;
– Technically advise the Executive Secretary and or the Division Manager on all matters pertaining to agriculture and natural resources management; –
– Ensure that a knowledge management strategy regarding the Unit’s attributions is in place and effectively implemented.
