Job Description
In collaboration with relevant stakeholders drive the implementation of an effective legal framework for the e-commerce and digital payments;
• Conduct awareness campaigns of e-commerce and digital payments to promote the uptake and onboarding of e-commerce and digital payments by SMEs and citizens at large;
• Develop policies, standards, operational guidelines for e-commerce and digital payments ecosystems.
• Disseminate approved guidelines, standards to concerned stakeholders and ensure proper enforcement and elaboration of consumer protection rights
• Lead the strategy and planning for engineering the roadmap to drive aggressive growth across the payment platforms and e-commerce services.
• Design methodologies to periodically measures e-commerce and digital payments adoption rate in Rwanda;
• Conduct period digital profiling of e-commerce and digital payments initiatives and ensure effective operationalization of established technical working groups to meet set goals.
• Identify the possible value chains, innovations, best approaches and practices for an effective establishment of an e-commerce and digital payment enabled industry.
• Be a thought leader on emerging trends and technology in the e-commerce and payments industry to help maintain best practice and advancement.
• Manage the implementation of new payment methods with the IT delivery teams, such as digital wallets and payment gateways.
• Conduct assessment of e-commerce enablers such as platforms, payments, logistics, trust identifying areas of improvement.
