Job description

– Answerable to the Operations Division Manager ;
– Continuously review and advise management on relevant updates to the Pre-Discharge Orientation Program for ex-AGs and dependents in line with relevant international standards, guiding principles and National programs,
– Ensure that gender and disability specific needs are provided for at all times during the PDOP,
– In collaboration with the Demobilisation Centre Management, maintain an updated gender responsive plan for all activities comprising the PDOP (combatant and nationality screening, cooling-off, medical screening and support, profiling, civic education, psychosocial support, recreation, etc.),
– Participate in the scheduling of the pre-discharge orientation civic education activities,
– Ensure constant availability of services and supplies for the welfare, health, safety, hygiene and sanitation of beneficiaries in the Demobilization Centre and the Child rehabilitation Centre,
– Ensure timely and proper processing of socio-economic profiles, identity cards, demobilization certificates, and beneficiary satisfaction survey,
– Continuously review and advise management on relevant updates to the rehabilitation program for child ex-combatants in compliance with relevant international standards, principles and national values,
– In collaboration with management of the Child Rehabilitation Centre, ensure smooth and results oriented running of the child rehabilitation and reintegration programs at all times,
– Work closely with both the Provincial Reintegration Officers and the Social and Economic Reintegration Specialists, to create synergies and complementarities in support to child ex –combatants including family tracing, mediation, reunification and reintegration;
– In collaboration with the Social and Economic Reintegration Specialists, ensure mainstream participation through local authorities and cooperatives of ex -combatants to create synergies for reintegration of child ex – combatants;
– In collaboration with PROs, report regularly on the status of social and economic reintegration of child ex-combatants;
– Produce and submit weekly flash reports, monthly statistical reports and quarterly narrative reports to the ODM, and
– Perform any other official duties assigned by the Supervisor.
