Job Title: Corporate Senior Sales Officer
Reports to: General Manager, Corporate Business and Alternative Distribution Channels
Purpose of the Job:
In the role of Senior Sales Officer for Corporate Business division, the main objective is to spearhead and implement the corporate sales strategy, guaranteeing the attainment of sales goals and the overall expansion of the business by growing new business and innovation. The crucial role is played in formulating and carrying out the plan for retail sales and operations, guiding a dynamic team of Sanlam Vie agency force to achieve success.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Target Achievement: Contributing to meeting sales targets for new business.
- Sales Strategy: Identify target markets and develop strategies to communicate with them to ensure growth of new business.
- Market Analysis: Conducting market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay informed about industry trends.
- Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments such as marketing, underwriting, and customer service to streamline processes and improve overall business efficiency
- Digitalization: Contribute on digitalization of corporate distribution channels Setting and monitoring sales objectives.
- Keeping up to date with industry developments.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Intermediary relationship management (Agents and brokers)
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Accountabilities:
- Meeting Revenue targets
- Sales and Distribution strategy
- Financial advisors/agents’ strategy
Sales Expertise and Performance:
- Ability to provide support to the retail sales team and sales agents in closing complex sales deals.
- Proven track record of success in sales, with a strong background in selling life insurance products or Retail related mode of business.
- Excellent understanding of the sales process, adept in canvassing for sales, and skilled in successfully closing intricate deals generated from lead acquisition.
- Ability to analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, implementing strategies to optimize sales performance and operations.
- Drive sales growth and market penetration by opening more pay points in Kigali city and upcountry.
- Monitor and analyze sales metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners and stakeholders.
- Liaise with the agency team on retail sales to ensure the contribution of the team in the Achievement of retail sales targets.
- Build relationships both internal and external to leverage on them.
- Provide feedback to the underwriting and claims management team on the quality of services provided to ensure appropriate gaps are filled to retain customers
Required Experience and qualifications.
- Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in business (Marketing, BIT, and insurance) Working experience in insurance business will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Kinyarwanda, Knowledge of French is an added advantage, and presentation skills.
- Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing sales training programs.
- Thorough understanding of insurance products and services.
