Job description
Under direct supervision of the Kimisagara Center Coordination Program, He/She is responsible for designing, developing, promoting, and implementation all initiatives related to youth opportunities for self-employment with exception of the YouthConnekt initiative
– Coordinate the national youth mobilization for community engagement and civic participation;
– Develop mechanisms and mobilization strategies for youth ethics and values nurturing;
– Develop mechanisms and strategies for risk behavior prevention;
– Coordinate and develop mechanisms to promote the culture of volunteerism among youth;
– Coordinate the joint planning for the Youth Social and ethics empowerment programs.
– Promote volunteering (internally and externally) through public strategies and campaigns;
– Promotes youth participation in the community voluntary work through diverse, educational, and productive work assignments;
– Coordinate youth decentralization and empowerment
– Designing and strengthening strong coordination mechanisms;
– Coordinate and follow up youth projects in decentralized entities (such as one model income project in the village)
– Advocating, developing, Coordinating, following – up programs of youth centers
– Reinforcing the relationship with the training centers and establish the training schedules in collaboration with friendly Centre coordinators;
– Advocating and ensuring youth is participating in the whole process of their empowerment;
– Contributing to the creation of an environment that promotes the sharing of information and learning from experiences;
– Compiling reports from youth-friendly Centres stressing challenges to correct and best practices to replicate on related fields;
– Coordinate monitoring, evaluation, and the implementation of national programs related to Youth Community Engagement:
– Assess the needs of young people, and plan and deliver programs related to areas of volunteerism and community engagement;
– Regularly monitor and review the quality of the local youth-based volunteerism work;
– Work in partnership with other organizations/institutions that support the youth volunteerism and community engagement; Monitor and evaluate activities of volunteering and community-based engagement activities,
– Carry out any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
