Job Description
– Reporting to the Cereal Program Coordinator Senior Principal Research Fellow, the Cereal Innovation and Technology Transfer Research Technician Grade I has the following
responsibilities:
– Implement field trials or laboratory protocols to produce reliable and accurate data to support scientific investigations;
– Participating in data collection, analysis, interpretation and timely reporting of research results;
– Assisting researchers in their regular activities in scientific research;
– Liaising with extension service providers in conducting on-farm technology verification trials, demonstrations;
– Participate in packaging of innovations for dissemination;
– Training students, interns and new scientists on field plot techniques and practices and/or laboratory practices;
– Prepare a quarterly and annual report on activities conducted;
– Ensure adequate management of resources under his or her responsibilities;
– Perform any other duty assigned by the Cereal Program Coordinator.
