As part of the expansion strategy, we are looking for interested, qualified, and competent candidates to fill the following position:
- Job Title: Catering Security Agent
- Reports to: Catering Security Team Leader
- Department: Corporate Security
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Has authority to make spot decisions and report immediately to his/her superiors
- Ensure that the security requirements for catering supplies and aircraft stores are met
- Ensure catering trolleys are checked and sealed on time
- Ensure catering security seals are recorded and kept in a secure place all the time
- Ensure premises used for the storage and preparation of catering and stores are secured adequately to prevent unauthorized people from gaining access at any time
- Ensure staff preparing in-flight catering and stores are supervised to a level that will reasonably ensure they cannot hide prohibited articles among the supplies and stores that arise
- Ensure timely reporting if any doubt arises regarding the potential misuse of seals or if the integrity of seal stock is compromised, shall remove all seals used on the aircraft and thoroughly search the panels and compartment from which the seals have been removed.
- Report incidents/accidents at the place of work to put in place appropriate preventive and corrective actions.
- Reports safety and hazards, incidents identified during the operations
- Reports security threats and incidents that occurred during the operations.
- Execute specific tasks as assigned by his/her superiors.
- Ensures implementation of security processes, systems, and procedures in accordance with approved International / National Aviation Security Program.
- Liaise with other security staff working at the Airport on all issues pertaining to aviation security in order to enhance the effective and efficient implementation of the RwandAir Security Program.
Desired Profile: Required education, Experience, and Abilities
- Minimum education level must have a university degree in any field
- A sound knowledge of aviation security,
- A good knowledge of criminal procedure and investigation skills,
- Conflict Management Skills.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Risk Analysis & Threat Assessment.
- Leadership skills
- Strong social skills;
- Strong communication skills; including reading, writing, and fluent communication in English and one of the popular local languages, with the knowledge of French is an added advantage
- Ability to deal with stress;
- Physical and mental fitness;
- A good memory and ability to concentrate;
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team or alone;
- Ability to be assertive and effective;
- Having good working relations with airport security and migration is an added value,
- Basic Computer Skills
