Job responsibilities
The Capacity Building Specialist shall report to the Cross Cutting program Manager. He/she is responsible ï‚§ To Coordinate and liaise with the project managers to ensure effective capacity building activities are implemented ï‚§ To contribute to capacity building in participatory needs assessment that takes into consideration of social issues as an integral component of the problem-solving process (income, literacy, health status, gender etc) ï‚§ To prepare long, medium- and short-term community development training plans for Water Users Association, Self-help Groups and Cooperatives; ï‚§ To ensure timely preparation of budget and training plans; ï‚§ To organize appropriate and timely trainings for all farmers, ï‚§ To monitor and gather reporting from service providers in terms of capacity building and making sure that all terms of contract are implemented; ï‚§ To monitor and making sure that the knowledge acquired during the training are implemented; ï‚§ Assist in project planning/development and implementation of sub-projects; ï‚§ Train beneficiaries on the relevant themes identified; ï‚§ Organize exchange forum and planning session at the community level, this concerns lead of farmers, local authorities and opinion leaders; ï‚§ Actively participate in planning, budgeting, supervision, monitoring and evaluation of Project activities; ï‚§ Ensuring that the participating community organizations have access to the institutional support needed for their empowerment and for effective decentralization of the implementation of the Project;

    • Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management
