Job Description
– Reporting to the Banana Program Coordinator Senior Principal Research, the Banana Innovation and Tech Transfer Senior Research Technician has the following responsibilities
– Assist in conducting research activities related to trial establishment and monitoring, surveys, diagnostic, sampling and outreach;
– Collect research data under supervision of scientists;
– Write technical reports;
– Deliver extension messages in the respective assigned area;
– Prepare and disseminate training material, deliver training;
– Conduct data introduction, cleaning and verification after collection;
– Conduct field visits by requests from partners for any emergency problem;
– Report to the Head of Program through scientist or directly.

Having led or contributed to the production and dissemination of eight (8) extension materials including technical guidelines, documentary films, and other extension materials for innovations aiming to increase farmer’s production, productivity and resilience capacities

Having contributed to the generation at least three (3) innovations or technologies for agriculture development

Proven experience to work with farmers in research and extension

Capacity in project development and resource Mobilization
